Modding is one thing but when you start playing God and thinking you have an insight on what others will do and say before they actually do it then you have let your modding responsibility go way too far beyond your lil delusional head IMHO.

I wasn't the one that touched your thread, and probably would've let it go a bit further myself, but that's not the point. Somebody else obviously didn't feel like the headache of moderating an OT thread, and I support them in their decision.
I believe we'll let this one slide because its presence won't create additional work for us. If it starts to, it will either be locked, or the problem posts will be removed if they exist for no other purpose than to complain.
Or maybe I'm just winging it, and know nothing about the other mods motivations.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I haven't mentioned anything about a thread being locked, that is against ROC. Are you perhaps playing God and trying to forsee my intentions and motives without me actually commiting the crime? Shame on you! Besides, I wasn't even aware that a thread was locked. What thread? Where?

Umm... don't the mods work on a volunteer basis and therefore are not paid out of your $13/mos and therefore not subject to your paid whims? I hope that that was sarcasm... but either way... it made me laugh.

I'd tip my hat to a mod making up a quote and changing the thread to make it seem as if a poster had said it, but it's bad manners to wear a hat indoors.

*shrugs* I guess I just don't see an issue with the Mods. Some people are acting like their right to free speech is being trampled. I guess I'm just not a factor enough to lace my posts with explicatives and personal attacks.
Nothing said here is of the utmost importance that if it disappears into the ether that the world is going to end.
If you honestly thought that I perfectly matched Cheapie's posting style with my thread title, then I just don't know what to tell you. Except that maybe you should watch some Jeff Dunham to recognize the phrase.
Also, look up the meaning of the word "Renamed".

Stratics has always been a bad forum. The rules are enforced textbook. One time I was perma-banned 2 years after receiving my 3 day penalty for a rule I broke. I assume someone felt inferior IRL and had to have a powertrip.
Kelmo also has it out for me. I've received 5 or so infractions in the 3-4 month period that I played here last time. All of which were pretty much undeserved by any reasonable standards.
It's too bad everyone can't migrate to a forum that doesn't suck.

Naw. We all decided after the big Stratics crash we would take (almost) all folks back and let the new system sort 'em out.
It's when he's just doing the stand-up portion of his act without any characters. The same bit where his daughter fills up for gas the first time.
He makes the texting motion with his hands pretending to be his daughter, "My parents are soooo stupid, ell oh ell, etc."

Honestly the title doesn't match your posting style either, and oddly enough the title doesn't say "Renamed by Wulf2k." Ask any viewer of this forum before you started this post renaming game, most of us assume only the OP edits the title.
QZ may have been joking but she pointed out the problem. You're putting a quote into someone's mouth that was never said. No mod has done this before and it's a bit worrying. Yes you admitted it, but not until many posts further down, and the broken train of threads due to the move makes it hard to follow.
Cheapy may have had some tenuous claims, but he never once resorted to childish behavior such as name-calling against the mods or moving a Wulf thread and renaming the title to some kindergarten insult, making it seem as if Wulf wrote it. Even if he had the power to do so I doubt he would have.
It's one thing to move threads or lock threads, but you're crossing the line when you put words in people's mouths.
If you don't see anything wrong with that, then I don't know what to tell you.

I don't have a problem with the renaming, but what it was renamed to. It's a petty thing to do. We shouldn't have to memorize posting styles in order to know who said what. We should be able to take things on face value, that if a thread with Cheapy as the OP says X, then Cheapy named it X unless the title says otherwise.
Giving the thread a childish title is jumping the shark in the debate, makes it look as if Cheapy is only making gradeschool insults (he wasn't), and weakens Cheapy's argument.
Wulf could have done much better by keeping the higher ground, instead he went lower than Cheapy.
You keep speaking of a debate. Up to the point that I moved it, had anything been stimulating you on an intellectual level?

You've only justified the move, not the fact that anyone who glances at page one sees that Cheapy called the mods stupid, as if that's the only point of argument he had. In fact he never made that point, and you as a mod are making things up to support your view.
The renaming did nothing in line with the role of a moderator, and appears quite personal.

All i'm going to say, these are forums guys, come on. One of probably 10 different forums I check on a regular basis. There are far more important things in life than arguing what can/can not be done, or what should/should not be done in these or any forums.
I know people pancake about stratics having Nazi moderators, but it's almost as if we have Nazi posters. If you don't like something, suck it up and move on.

Uhm yea, from what I can tell that's pretty much it... @Aeowyn if OT stuff having to do with players' RL is siege material, I think this qualifies as well.
