just started to try do this quest and as I have had about 1 hour total in SA so far I must admit I anm at a total loss. I have searched the boards and cannot find information on how to get the rare serpents egg, any help would be appreciated

for get the eggs you must go near the entrace of the Medusa lair's. Then you'll see small holes into the ground.
Double clicking an hole give you a chance to get a rare serpent egg.
If you fail you'll be stucked and sorrounded by snakes or (in the best case) nothing happen.

Remember that: the eggs are rare and requires some time for get 1...

The rare serpents eggs come from nests outside Medusas lair, You can either use a snake flute and charm the snakes into the holes, Or double click the nests and hope you find an egg.

It's on the map there as 'Serpent Lair'.

The lantern you need can be bought from a provisioner.

The sapling seed comes from the Silver Sapling tree, Its on that map linked above, Just double click the tree.

Finally the Dark Wisp Orbs come from Level 2 of Wisp Dungeon in Ilshenar, Your looking for Dark Wisp Guardians, Kill those and open a chest they guard. It may take a while to find them, They spawn quite slowly.

Finally the Dark Wisp Orbs come from Level 2 of Wisp Dungeon in Ilshenar, Your looking for Dark Wisp Guardians, Kill those and open a chest they guard. It may take a while to find them, They spawn quite slowly.

And at the moment they are being camped to high heaven; it took nearly an hour and a half to get one for a 4 man team last night...

It is not necessary to be the one opening the chest to get the orb though. On 2 chars out of 3 that I´ve run through the quest, the orbs have been automatically placed into the backpack also when someone else have opened the chest.

There is a new node each day, Publish was on Monday, so Mondays Node, Tuesdays and now todays.

Can gargoyles use the same nodes? Or are they different?

Gargoyles have different nodes, So far the Human ones began close to the entrance via the Underworld whilst the Gargoyle ones have been close to the Tomb of the Kings entrance.

Ahh ok.. that makes sense....

Anyone care to post screenies of the garg spots as have been done with the human spots?

Just a quick pointer; the last crystal isn't buried, you just need to run to the spot... but clicking the crystal to do so still gives the "Geoffrey said you must bury..." error message. Just ignore that though!
