PvP Proposal

I've seen some good ideas in my time as a UO player and I'm always hearing that there will be a comprehensive pvp system that never materializes. Here is how I envision it.

1) Murder Counts are permanent. They do not go away.

2) Reds may go anywhere but trammel.

3) Outside of Felucca Reds may fight each other but nobody else may fight them there outside of guild wars.

4) Factions control the guards and vendors to a massive new degree within felucca. All NPCs are blue or members of the controlling faction of that city. Traditional Guards are removed and replaced with faction guards who are now patrolling the cities and may be called but are only as strong as faction guards.

5) Guards are removed from moongates but the areas may still not be field/summon friendly

6) Factions control the prices of everything in their cities directly. all vendors are subject to the ruling faction in the city.

7) Non Faction city guards are placed in non faction cities in felucca but they attack all factioners. They are alligned to fight factions, they attack only a 2-3 at a time and are hence not overly significant threats.

8) Pirate NPCs roam the seas.

9) All guilds with over 20 members must become alligned with a faction(if they never travel to fel, nothing will change for them due to the recent patch).

I think we should just get rid of guards period, not have factions control them.

As far as just going to Siege, that is a good idea, though not everything he asks for is on Siege or will be. Siege has just as many carebears as any other shard, which is why things like perma red are greatly opposed. (That's not to say everyone who opposes perma red is a carebear...but most of them are).

There are a couple of issues I have with siege, RoT is garbage and completely trash, worse than the horrible GGS system we got stuck with on other shards.

1 character is boring and simply promotes the use of multiple accounts. I'm not spending more than I already do to play a game.

#6, NO. can see it now, Prices all at 1gp and mass BOD's, buying at 1 gp, taking to tram or other town and reselling and getting normal resell price.

Any REAL reason why not? It's easy to make an angry no statement, it's much harder for you defend your statement.

Again it seems you don't have any real reason to post if nothing affects you.

Again, you seem to be very angry with your caps and lack of actual knowledge of pvp. Why not back up a statement with intelligent reasoning.

Prices at 1gp would make the factions poor, it would result in their downfall financially in a system that would require they work hard to increase their wealth to maintain control. No change in the bod system was proposed, your concerns are unfounded. lower sell back rates then.... It's not as though the game hasn't been altered where a player can already buy and sell for a pitance of gold anyway.

It's for felucca not trammel. It makes no sense in trammel.

Do you play this game? Their guild stone?! who has a guild stone anymore? For the trammel huge guild, rp and cool items and mounts are a bonus to you at no cost since you don't even go to felucca anyway. How can you beat that? Trammel only players only benefit with no danger as the pvp to factions is restricted to fel anyway.


Any other feedback from folks?

Not sure why you want this, but I can agree to it.
2) Reds may go anywhere but trammel.
No, murderers need to be punished for there crimes. We should return to the days of murderers being unable to enter towns.
3) Outside of Felucca Reds may fight each other but nobody else may fight them there outside of guild wars.
Murder should lead to severe penalties, not become a status symbol for bored PvPers.

Get factions out of Felucca. Move that crap to Trammel where that jackassery can screw up their own facet. This also removes the ability for nonfactions PvPers to interfere with it.

No thanks. If anything I would like to see gate areas become even less PvP friendly.

Yes, this would be awesome. As long as we have a way to take the vessels.

5) NO, well okay if you remove houses 20 screens or so away from all moongates.

Trust me i really wanna see factions alive again, as i played since they first came out.
But need some more thought, these are some really bad ideas.

The first thing I want to see is a fix so people can't polymorph for gray and then turn it off right when they toggle it again. There should be a 5 minute flag or something to it, or no flag at all.

I don't like the idea of limiting players into being red or blue. It takes 40 real hours of playing to burn off one count. That **** is not easy. Once a person becomes red, usually within one night of fighting really, they probably will stay red, or spend the next month burning counts, lol. I know the people in between are sorta sketchy, but the flexibility is what makes UO PvP great.

The Faction Vendor ideas are great.
