How about Cure pots working so that GC pots cure 2 levels of poison, and Cure pots cure 1 level of poison. If you are LP'd, total curing takes 2 successful attempts, each with %chance of success on both equal to the initial poisoning level. Once poisoned, you cannot repoison until fully cured (as it is now), and a small drop the %chance to cure. Same goes for Cure Spell/Arch Cure, maybe 2 levels for Cure, 4 levels for Arch, but again drop the %rates so they arent instant cures.
The only other alternative I can think of, is that curing whether from pots/spells should be time based, once you drink a cure pot or cast a spell, there should be a delay in which the poison must be neutralized. Sorta like how the Confidence spell works and is interruptable.
Just some ideas I had while looking thru my soulstones and realizing how useless poisoning has become.
