Poisoning Levels and Curing

How about Cure pots working so that GC pots cure 2 levels of poison, and Cure pots cure 1 level of poison. If you are LP'd, total curing takes 2 successful attempts, each with %chance of success on both equal to the initial poisoning level. Once poisoned, you cannot repoison until fully cured (as it is now), and a small drop the %chance to cure. Same goes for Cure Spell/Arch Cure, maybe 2 levels for Cure, 4 levels for Arch, but again drop the %rates so they arent instant cures.

The only other alternative I can think of, is that curing whether from pots/spells should be time based, once you drink a cure pot or cast a spell, there should be a delay in which the poison must be neutralized. Sorta like how the Confidence spell works and is interruptable.

Just some ideas I had while looking thru my soulstones and realizing how useless poisoning has become.

How about poisoning combined with mage poison is impossible to cure with a pot...and dexxer poisoning remains the same. This would require dexxers to have an alternate method of healing other than simply pots as well as make mages actually use their cure spell. Simple and effective.

How about also fixing the Chivalry spell Cleanse by Fire so you succeed as often as you would with the Magery Cure spell? I fail about 2/3 of the time curing DP with 80 chivalry, when I don't with Cure/Arch Cure. The Magery spells chance for success is based on Magery skill, while the Chivalry spell is not... why the difference?

because it is based on your karma.

And besides, who wants 120 chiv?

Ahh, I forgot that, and that's fine. But I have close to max karma and still fail 2/3 of the time curing DP with Chivalry when I don't with Magery. Something isn't balanced there.

Heres the Balance..

Chiv is effective as a Support Healing Skill at 70 Skill.

With 4/6 you can Mini Heal (Wounds) for 30 or So damage (Mini Heal Speed)

You can Remove Curses at an extremely Fast Pace

You can Cure Yourself extremely fast

----

Magery is Far less effective at 70 Skill, It requires 110+ To be effective

Another possible solution that has not been mentioned in any of the Poisoning/Potions threads...:

Consumables(Apples, Grapes, Potions ETC) counting as food items so at one point if one has used too many they will have to wait for the hunger cool-down. But that's like implementing a timer of shorts as well, might as well implement "true" timers if they'd go for that.

Again many people has no clue on the difficulty of curing LP without pots.

Timer on Cures = Timer on Poison and/or Mana cost rebalance

DR on Cure = DR on Poison.

To add in a timer on cures will screw any none 4/6 chiv dexer harder... so be careful what you wish for. Maybes can now again spam poison away after each offensive spell. And for the current brainless LP spamming dexer, the game became easy more.

I'm not at all convinced about this whole "difficulty to cure LP without GCures" thing.

First because you could then still use GCures just not constantly and because said difficulty could be adjusted by EA/M to address this. With timers on it could also be acceptable to make GCures guaranteed to cure LP. Then there's obviously not so much difficulty when a mage can cure it with Arch Cure on 3 tries, during which a lot can happen.

LP can be dealt with in many ways:
- Cleansing Winds
- Cleanse By Fire

- Magery Cure spells
- Bandages/Enhanced Bandages
- Healing Stones(After the last update to Mysticism)
- Gift Of Renewal(Heals Through)
- Spirit Speak(Heals Through)

For DP you can add:
- Orange Petals
- Vampire Form

- Unicorn Form(Somewhat rare to encounter in PVP)
- Cure potions(Chance is sufficient)
