Pigmenst of Tokuno

What happened to the pigmenst of Tokuno? I just turned in 10 minor arties and the pigments did not show up as a choice.

We've been working for months to collect the minor arties so we could replace the pigments we lost.

Not a happy camper

I'm not really sure why they were removed as a turn-in, but they are no longer available in-game. I understand they can still be bought from Japan's UO/EA Store, though.

Can you send me a link to this please? Do I need a character on a Japanese shard?

No character on an Asian shard is needed, however, you do need to know how to read Japanese (or have a translator), a Japanese IP address (or a proxy that looks like one) and a card with a billing address in Japan from what I hear.

They don't make it easy to order from them outside Japan, but it's not impossible to do.

Here's the link, but as Black Sun said, it's in Japanese so you will need to use a translation tool:

Thank you. The irritating thing is we had them--and would ironically still have them, if we had not decided to play UO again during the invasion of Britain.

We didn't know about the invasion when we decided to start playing again. My husband teleported his main character, who was carrying a complete set of pigments of tokuno, to Brit Bank. Hey, what's safer than Brit Bank? Right??? Well that auto feature that was supposed to teleport characters elsewhere--it didn't. He landed in the middle of a warzone, died in 3 seconds and was unable to recover his body. Farewell to the pigments and other major arties. OK we should have insured them. I guess our mistake was to assume that you could recall from your home to Brit Bank without dying.

Did you say "Contact EA". Well what would be the point? They don't replace missing items.

This is why we both have no interest in UO plot lines--since the intersection with the plot line proved to be very costly for us.

He cursed for weeks--not that I blamed him.

So we decided to work on regathering the minor artifacts. We worked for several months, anticipating the day when we could go to Tokuno and have the fun of picking the colors and savoring the reward for all of our hard work.

That pleasure has now been denied to us and the hard work was for nothing.

If this was done so that the pigments of Tokuno would not compete with the pigments of Haochi--then I suggest that EA should probably insist the UO Game Codes might at least take the trouble to list the colors available in their description. The only info available is that there are 10 colors to choose from. Until you actually go to the buy page they give no color info.

And given the quantity of complaints I have read on these boards about UO Game Codes, I probably wouldn't buy from them anyway.

I think the issue with UO Game Codes is it just doesn't let some people purchase from the site for some reason. So if you do try it, the worst thing that can happen is it won't allow the transaction; no worries about losing your money. I've bought quite a few items from there and never had an issue.

I'm afraid that the original set of dyes was discontinued after the first round of the Treasures of Tokuno. At subsequent restarts the dyes were changed each time and for the very last restart no dyes at all were included in the majors.

If you happen to be on Europa I can let you have some free used ones of each of the original dyes as I have obtained quite a number of these from Idocs over the years.

As has been stated the only other way would be to buy the Japanese promotion set or buy individually from vendors.

If you are planning to use them rather than collecting, you can try getting in contact with your local idoc'ers.

They pick up tons of that stuff and will be happy to sell you extras they do not need.

Also, for colours like shadow dancer black and luna white, blaze, etc, the plant pigments can easily be used.
