Yeah myself, draconius, bladebard and frogskin took on 4 OPK in despise, 4v4... we killed them all 3x then bladebard had to go so we had no chance of killing the champ and drac, frogskin and myself held it off for as long as we could before we could leave.

I was really impressed considering that was our first ever fight.

Thats hilarious, cause most tradies earn more these days then lawyers would given that alot of other tradies have gone off to the mines, leaving the rest to rake in the dosh.

And having a degree and any other fancy pieces of paper, does not mean you are intelligent. We have proof of that.

I find it more impressive when someone says "I'm a surgeon" or "I'm a human rights lawyer" than "I'm a painter", however that does not mean the person who is a painter is dumber than someone who is a surgeon (which one could argue very easily), it could be because they prefer painting or a more hands on job than a desk job.

The only trades which I really truly respect (or interest me) are artistic ones such as an Artist, Musician or Actor, as I can see why people would be interested in following them as a career and they require quite a bit of skill to become good at.

A 20 year old tradie would usually earn more than say a 20 year old accountant, however the problem with that is the tradie almost always stays on that wage throughout their entire life and doesn't have many prospects for the future. Where as an account or lawyer will increase their wage more and more with the more experience they get and have a lot of prospects (such as going into banking for an accountant or becoming partner in a firm).

Anyway it just depends on what one enjoys most in life... whether it be the short way to average money or the long way to a lot.

dunno, pet. whatever makes one happy, is generally the best kind of job. i get paid a pittance at the moment (though admittedly, my stock will be worth a fair amount soonish), but i work when i want on exactly what i want, wherever i want. i have an office, but if i dont feel like going in (i usually do, because my workplace is really relaxed), i dont - sometimes ill take my laptop and go sit in a park for most of the day.

i have a friend who is in merchant banking. he could buy and sell me with the loose change he finds in his designer leather lounge, but he works 100 hour weeks most weeks, and the few hours hes not in the office, hes on his phone or blackberry or laptop. he doesnt have time for anything but work and is, largely unhappy.

job descriptions are not that important.

My father worked in a high pressure job for years, still does in a limited capacity, now in his "retirement". He was a Paramedic and one of the pioneering members of the helicopter rescue service. He worked 14 hour days and devoted a lot of his spare time to study to keep ahead of constant advances in his field.

But he loved his job with a passion and was always happy. I think that's the key.

Love what you do, whatever it may be and do what you love.

A couple of my friends were pregnant at the same time. One mum bought all sorts of tapes to play to her unborn child to "give it the best start in life", the other had more of a "yeah whatever" attitude.

The first friend was appalled that the second friend was not teaching their child from the moment of conception, she argued that the child would not be able to have a high paying career if they were not schooled from birth.

The second friend's husband said "that if everyone in the world was a doctor or a lawyer, who would be left to remove their garbage. The world needs Garbologists too".

Mate, I'm a public area cleaner at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Canberra (above the Casino), its a nice relaxed job (I work night shifts), I don't have a boss or supervisor breathing down my neck, and its mostly just easy jobs (i.e. vac and mop etc).

$4 bucks an hour???!?!?! ROFL try $18, I think you need to take a step back here mate and have a good long think about what your saying and how stupid it sounds.

I am a gold farmer. I get no money, save the scraps of food they give me for my family and I to survive on. I spend my day hoarding items in online games so that my employer can sell them cheap for real life cash. I barely sleep, playing games up to 20 hours a day just so that I can survive.

I must go.... I am not allowed any breaks and I will get in trouble for the time it took to post this. You will never see me again, because I will die of exhaustion in a few weeks.

Naw... I've changed to wrestle scribe now, it's to hard to 1v1 people with alchemy. It's bad for group fighting too. But it was very funny.

This may be stating the obvious... but he uses wrestling for the para/disarm and for the added defense (also the ability to hold spell book at same time) it gives not for the pathetic damage that wrestling does :p

Ahh lol der me!! didnt think of the spellbook part of it. i never though there was much dmg with wrestling. Could get some good advantages off spellbooks too depending on what bonus' they are crafted with...
hrmm i wonder if anyones made a list of what properties can occur on books

Scrappers compendium = no point crafting normal spellbooks.

You can get + any mage related skill, 1 mr, lower mana cost (not on scrappers coz it has 10), LRC, fc/fcr (not on scrappers coz it has some already) and SDI. Maximum of 3 mods. That's off the top of my head.

No offence mate, but how is he supposed to know that you are in OPK when you are not in the guild for starters. Hes not a mind reader.

And hes doing what he is supposed to do - hes a PK. He kills people.

OPK on that shard is different to OPK on oceania.
