10 outages in 27 days . What else is there to say.
I bet we wouldn't have accounts if our payment frequency was this poor.

• 25.2.2012 - 12hrs +
• 29.2.2012 - 4.5hrs
• 1.3.2012 - 20mins (on and off)
• 5.3.2012 - approximately 4hrs
• 10.3.2012 - 10:33pm to 11:51pm
• 14.3.2012 - 00:00 to 2:15am
• 18.3.2012 - 8pm to 9pm (extreme lag spikes of total freezing experienced server wide all day prior to the issue)
• 20.3.2012 - 9pm (currently still unavailable)
• 21.3.2012
• 22.3.2012 - 6pm (currently login server still offline as at 6.33pm and counting)

Still seeking H.E.L.P.

"They" have fixed "it"

I must say thank you to the "they" for whatever they did as now it seems fine , for the 2mins before i came here to post.
Thank you so much for making sure we were up for a friday night session. Good work Techo's.

Can we have some kind of report of what it was ? (Hardware/config/server/network) Is there any way we can expediate the process if/when it happens again ?

lol..it fixes itself after every event... until the next day when it goes again.. unfortunately its an ongoing outage ... but yeah I agree be happy while it lasts and get in as much game time as you can .. till outage number 11 occurs
*fingers crossed the cause has been resolved this time not just the symptom * Unfortunately though, the documented track record of the "partners " over the past 12 months doesnt warrant much optimism,
but, hey, they say miracles happen.. Lets hope for one!

I notice that all of the Oceania downtime threads are started by Juztme.

Is this some sort of automated bot that constantly checks for connectivity to this server that posts a feed when no connection is found?

Or is that the only player that plays Oceania to notice that it is down?

well, after 27 days, we kinda fed up and tired of complaining. But you did raise a good point, we will be more vocal from now on for each down time in the hope of getting a permanent resolution (as long as it remains in Australia).

It had been good for the last 10 years, with the last hosting provider, Equinix, but starting to play up when the provider was changed in January 2011, just getting worse in the last 27 days. (search keyword Oceania to check all our other complaints throughout the year, all about lag spike and down time)

it is much less complaint now as most people have moved on, it will be a much more worrying sign if there's no complaints at all, which means there are nobody left playing.

Your shard maybe the next victim, just watch for the sign
