I forgot to average it out, still the figure comes up over 60 years. Long enough for stable long term alternative fuels to be developed. Personally I'm all of Nuclear energy myself, it's reasonably safe, produces low amounts of non-treatable, non-recyclable waste.

And CO2 content in the atmosphere isn't strictly a Human created issue, we can't stop or control it. Our contribution to All green house gases counting water vapor is .28%. If you don't include Water Vapor it's 5.53%, tell me if you find a way to cut out that .28% introduced by humans tell me what you have planned to curb the other 99.72%

Oh yea btw Water Vapor is the largest green house emission. For people to curb that we'd have to stop breathing...

im pretty sure they were reffering to the 700 billion bail out, not the AIG bail out. i belive the AIG thing was 85 mill. AIG bail out was a good thing for the reasons you stated, the 700 bail out is what seems to be garbage. that bail out included funding for nascar tracks and such, why the hell should any of our tax money be going to nascar?? if we wanted to support nascar we could buy tickets to see a race... thats just one example,im sure there are many more examples of wasted tax money in that bail out...

No, I have no respect for social workers as a whole. I'm sure there are a few here and there that want to do the right thing, but when I've seen children taken from homes and parents charged with child abuse because they aren't current on vaccinations, yet abused children are left in their homes with not a second glance, I have nothing good to say about that "profession". Oh, I'm married to a lawyer. I assure you, I won't require the help of a social worker.

Ouch. It's honestly kind of shocking to see someone slam a whole group of people they don't know based on their profession. I doubt you'll believe me, but I think my stepmother really did want to help people when she chose to become a social worker. She eventually left child protection services all together and worked in nursing homes. I never recall her saying she ever had to take a child out for lack of vaccinations. However, I remember many stories about taking babies with flat heads because they had never been picked up or turned. And the same babies having bite marks on them from rats and cockroaches. And quite a few crack mothers basically renting out their children for sexual purposes in return for drugs. I'm sure there are some information sources out there though, that would love to take one case of a child being taken away for petty reasons and blow it up to make it sound like it happens hundreds of times a day.

Then again, I'm pro Obama, who is apparently going to turn Murica into a communist/socialist/marxist/atheist/satanic/muslim nudist colony. So my word probably can't be trusted anyway. On the good side, I expect to be getting my spiffy pitchfork, cloven hooves and wings any day now.

Really? Nascar? That's crap. Yeah I agree that kind of stuff is a waste. I know that originally the bill had been turned down, only to pass later after a ton of sweeteners were added. If this is one, thats total BS, it doesn't even apply to the country's economy.

The scariest part is that the entire government is controlled by one party, and on top of that there is a very good chance that up to four seats could come available in the Supreme Court.

The last time gun laws were debated in the Supreme Court the laws passed by a 5-4 vote.

Not only do we face major financial problems (not just in the USA but worldwide) we could also be facing huge civil rights issues.

As for pointing fingers at the Republicans for messing things up, or the Democrats for failing to help the problem rather than hinder it, it is up to our elected officials to work together in the best interest of all Americans.

It is obvious that neither side has been able to do that recently, and it's disgusting!

Another concern is seeing the reaction worldwide of the different countries. If a country like Somalia is excited that someone has been elected, it would be wise to look at the reasons why they are excited.

It's time for our leaders to look at what is in the best interest for America and come together to make wise decisions.

Let us not forget that the Great Depression spawned evil like no other in the form of Adolf Hitler.
