Apologies if this was in the article and I just missed it, but I'm curious about something.
Are these murders in the sense of in-game death only? (Basically meaning Y has a serial assaulter or serial attempted killer rather than serial killer per se.) Or in the sense of these characters being being permanently gone, or at least gone until some great task is performed?
In RP the distinction is sometimes important...If nothing else, it's the difference between saying "I'm sorry for what happened to you" to the victim, or saying "I'm sorry for your loss" to the victim's friend, relative, or guildmate.

PS: If it's not decided, my vote goes for the characters not being perma-dead....People can get touchy about perma-death.

It is not perma-death to these characters.
This event has not been sanctioned by the GM of this guild so it is a true murderer, and death without being preplanned or organized.
