4/6 chiv DP dexers have been around for awhile, just because Siege doesn't have them doesn't mean I don't fight them.

These are the bane of my existance on prodo. Unless I para/stun, wall in/poison field and dump... theres just no way in hell I'm going to win.

Esp. a 4/6 chiv archer with resist and healing with high stats. 4 second aids, instant cure/heal/apples/Remove curse... holy light spam... running shot. I have to stand still to cast and they just constantly move. I wonder if I can out DPS when they don't run away, but on the field... very few ever gave me the chance to try.

Dunno how you ever had success unless you had help or fought players who were just terribad... that template is easy-mode.

Thanks for the compliment, but what template do you think can outlast a poison pally? I'm not saying I can't be killed, but if it's not done in the first few minutes, it's probably not happening in the next 30.

Myst/parry mage destroys them. Hop on test and try it out, they won't even fight me any more. The archers are a bit tougher that the bleed/DP ****s. On the field they are far harder than in a duel to beat. Nice thing about myst, is if they are running a crossbow, I will let them conc/mortal me, and moving shot, and I just precast cleansing wounds, removes my curse, heals me for 35-40, and they wasted 70% of their mana.

-First I'd probably purge magic to remove any buffs you had cast to help resists. Even if you have 120 resist, if I am 120 focus/myst I can still sleep you, and the cast time is very very fast. Sleep, back up, mana vamp. Or just stun punch mana vamp.

Keep feigning big spells to get it to cast holy light and burn through all mana, poison works well.

Holy light is for interrupting heals/cures, harm spam, and big spells while disarmed. Pre-cast cw/cleanse is more effective to let the mage dump themselves out while keeping the chivver alive.

As a myst mage, you just cast bombarb onto a spell trigger, spell plague them, let them kill themselves with that, and drop an explode, fs, bombarb trigger combo. It does about 90 damage instantly

The myst part I'm not familiar with. I'd have to see it in action to judge its effectiveness.

You can also play a mage template with bleed, that also pretty well ruins that template.

If you're ruining somebody with bleed, they were ruined before you got to them.

-Purse magic cost 4 mana with LMC. No wad blown.

-On a parry mage, I can cure/mini heal through bleed/HL spam. I won't even bother with GH, a cleaver doesn't do enough damage.

-Fight a myst char, you'll see what I mean.

-A mage with bleed/MA/poison spam can kill a chiv dexer if they know what they're doing, that is how I killed Ghengis.

Also, if the mage is wanting to outlast that template, or nullify in a duel such as this: Check out stone form.

Nullifies bleed, poison, strangle, curse, etc.

Stone form counters LP? Good to know. Apparently it also reduces casting speed, and a mage at less than max casting isn't dropping somebody with chiv, bleed or not.

I was referring to the sleep/mana vamp as blowing your wad. 120 med/resist with LMC isn't going to care about it. Also, I never use them, but aren't trapped boxes a viable counter to sleep?

Do bandages still cure bleeding even with 0 healing skill?

This thread is exactly why what Dev's are left don't give a **** about Siege, you are all your own worst enemies. The only way you could all agree on something is when the population reaches one and even then it would probably be one of the crazies who couldn't agree with himself.

Or is it because we're debating pvp tactics/templates?

Or is it because I am the very model of a modern general, and the devs fear the information I have, which is vegetable, animal, and mineral in nature? They also fear my knowledge of the kings of England and quotes of fights historical, from Marathon to Waterloo, when quoted in order categorical.

I think i've stated this in a previous post...i could give a rat's fat ass if sp closed down tomorrow...i'm enjoying sp for what it is now which isn't a whole lot but it's still better than anything out there...

There is no way he should die vs a mage without Necro or Mystigayism.

I dont know what Myst(w/e) is, but a fight on foot against a 4/6 chiv dexer is pretty much win for the dexer.

I beat Meph when he was running the 4/6 mage (before fast cast cap) and all the artifacts on a 4/6 chiv dexter without max skills because you can interrupt anything that matters.
