Kinda torn on this one really. Yeah they need to make enhancing have a better chance of success. With imbuing active normal crafters are at a big disadvantage, so that's a plus. But being sold as a code is a negative, unless it somehow turns into a token.

Well, if it's token form at least I can buy it with in game gold and not my RL cash. That's how I rationalize the token craze. There are always folks buying them up and selling on vendors because they don't want to "buy gold". I guess they rationalize buying tokens instead of gold along those same lines tho

- inexistant customer support
- the "corrective" patches
For new content, buy it yourself (booster, anniversary "gifts", etc).

I don't mind them doing something about that, but it should be something you can get by playing the game, not by shelling out $10 at UO Game Codes. That drives me nuts. I absolutely hate that business model for MMO's. It makes game play completely meaningless.
I agree. I don't like cash shops in the first place, but I can accept them if they don't sell things that give advantages in game play. But they already do (Advanced Character, Woodworker's Bench, etc.) Just as many of us have always feared, once they started selling things it was a small jump to selling things that matter to game play. And this can easily climb up the ladder into full scale BTW (buy to win). In fact, it's a given if the game doesn't make enough money for management bonuses.
I'm just waiting for the stream to see if there's going to be an alternative.
Yeah, I may not either. UO has become so full of problems that I was just waiting for a new shard (to get rid of inflation accumulated over years) that's pre-AoS, and basically get back to the "world" that UO was. So, if they do that, I won't need my old stuff anyways. And at this point, even dragging it out seems like a waste.

As usual, you are clueless. If you considered the costs involved with enhancing after imbuing...you might see how this item makes sense. One use of this thing pays practically pays for itself.LOL
Having difficulty getting that quality piece of armor or weapon? Just need that simple boost to get you over the top. How about a tool that offers 100% enhancement. Let the tool do the work, and be off adventuring in minutes versus hours.
