lolWhat ship is this? Star Ship Enterprise?
HOOOORAAAYYYYYYAnd...woot!
Netherbolt/Eagle Strike/Bombard will no longer cause their target to double fizzle.
I thought this new ship was also supposed to be made available, on a limited basis, as something you can buy from the game code store.
A pretty darn good gold sink at that. lolwell THIS is what can be called: GOLD SINK
That should cut down considerably on the complaint threads in UHall.* Netherbolt/Eagle Strike/Bombard will no longer cause their target to double fizzle.
I wonder how thorough the testing of this new ship will be, given the number of points it takes to acquire one. Unless EA gives TC1 characters an automatic allotment of donation points with the NPC handing out the ships, I doubt very few people will put in the time there to try to acquire one just to do free QA work for EA. And if they don't get good testing on TC1, who in their right mind would spend real money or waste weeks of time trying to acquire something that might be buggy as heck and/or has the potential to poof in less than a week's time if it is subject to normal boat decay rules? Its still on TC1, give it time
However, unless they sell it for $150 very few people will go through the tedium of the library collection method...
I highly doubt many people will avoid getting one of these regardless of whether it gets player tested. I wouldn't expect it to be more buggy than the current ships though.I wonder how thorough the testing of this new ship will be, given the number of points it takes to acquire one. Seems like the dev team needs to provide more information (e.g., do you need to buy the High Seas booster to acquire/use one; is this going to be an alternate type of housing; can they be damaged like other ships; what kind of storage do they provide; how are they different from/same as other ships; etc.) and encourage people to test this item if they're considering selling it for any period of time for cash.
If it's on the Fishing NPC though, you're a bit limited ...depends on what you can turn in for how many points as to whether's it's hard to get or not
You know you could just create a huge load of raw fish steaks and turn in everything else you get while getting them. Top it off with gold.If it's on the Fishing NPC though, you're a bit limited ...
Fishing Pole - 2 Points
Fish - 1 Point
4 Raw Fish Steaks - 1 Point
Crab - 10 Point
Lobster - 10 Point
Or money, of course...
Anyone have 1,000,000 spare lobsters?![]()
First, I'd need a fisherman character .... then I'd need to get several million fish without going completely crazy in the process...You know you could just create a huge load of raw fish steaks and turn in everything else you get while getting them. Top it off with gold.

Addition to the Community collections
We have added the new Ship to the items you can earn in Community Collections. Please see the fisherman NPC in the library in Britain
It's 10,000,000 points.
It's simply called the Britannian Ship, maybe that's the name they have given what we first heard termed 'the Whale', I don't know. It certainly looks to have spaces for items other than cannon, so it's a sort of semi-houseboat....Is it the whale? A houseboat?
Shhhh! Your logics will scare the Dev Team!I wonder how thorough the testing of this new ship will be, given the number of points it takes to acquire one. So there IS a way to test the new ship? Mind sharing with the class? It does say you need High Seas on the deed and the ship model - a warning on the NPC who hands them out might not be a bad idea though.
It's also no-trade and account bound, in both deed and model form.
Since reward points are by shared throughout the collection, frostwood boards are worth the most at 48 points each. So it would take 208,334 frostwood boards...depends on what you can turn in for how many points as to whether's it's hard to get or not
Said thatooo - lookie lookie - account bound ...
Messana placed a crystal statue on New Haven docks, Test Centre - double click it, you get the deed for the boat, then try find space to launch it, which is the harder job!So there IS a way to test the new ship? Mind sharing with the class?
From other thread:any pics of the new ship
Glad to hear it's account bound though. Last thing we need is scripters obtaining these ships only to turn them over for RL cash or tons of gold.well, if people test it and find out what broke, maybe we can get if fixed quickly, and then the publish can be released quickly.
btw, in case anyone is interested, the boat.

Both deed and ship model. Is it deed or boat account bound?
Talking about in the game or the picture shown? Because I can't see floating stairs in the photo. There are graphical glitches with the new boat in the EC. The stairs float above the ship...
I don't think this is the Whale...they mentioned that you'd be able to place house add ons on the whale. Is it the whale? A houseboat?
Please add cooked fish steaks to the turn in menu!
Ignore me.....I don't think this is the Whale...they mentioned that you'd be able to place house add ons on the whale.

What needs to be tested? We all know their code is rock solid and well thought out...
No, sorry, I lie.

Just placed a forge on this one.
The hold can store 28.000 stones
GAK! I just tried it... Gave 50 frostwood to the artist, and the fisher didn't see the points. The last time I turned in boards to the Library collection artist NPC, only that specific NPC gave me credit for those boards, the other's did not show me having any points.
So I could only get one of the rewards the artist offered. For the most part I think the different library collection NPC's offer the same rewards, except for the glasses?
And now the boat.
The Museum collection didn't have that restriction, but the library did.
I do hope the points you collect when turning in items to one Library NPC are shared amongst all NPCs.
I can't go back in to test it, but I'd expect so since that's coded onto those containers, not part of the coding for the boat hold.Does 400 stones limit for bags inside hold still apply?
Just 150x checks worth 1.000.000 gp each.It will be a very long time before we see a ship from the community collections.
You reckon? Given the prices I've seen Luna houses and well placed Trammel castles sell for, I expect to see at least one sailing within the first day of them being available on production shards, almost certainly paid for with cash....It will be a very long time before we see a ship from the community collections.
