i've made probably a good 400m off this booster alone, not from scripting. i could easily buy this boat if i felt the need to, but as i see it, it's just a gold sink item. an achievement based item holds no merit or value to me; therefore, i still won't buy it. definitely not hard to make 150m these days without scripts.

this finally gives value to the countless lobsters and crabs that we fishermen/women have stocked up. i will finally have a reason to put them on my vendor for a decent price too. i guarantee that it will be reasonably easy to find people selling off their normal crabs/lobsters for fair prices. personally, i have over 3,000 normal crabs/lobsters. while that's no where near 1 million, i know i'm not the only person with them, and can easily go farm more while turning in fishing quests.
looks like all the dry docked ships
here is some interesting question that needs an answer:
1) how many shots can take before fall?
2) do it have a damage bonus like the orc ship?
3) do it have any bonus to fishing like tokuno ship?
Some considerations:
- heavy cannons looks very small mounted in a huge ship like this
Thats the bug I saw earlier. Restart the client and it will be gone. Make sure you got today's patch too.- the stairs looks misplaced after drydock (on EC)

Good grief, if you have to refresh this thing I am not even going to bother. After losing 2 orc ships, 1 tokuno, and 1 gargoyle ship to decay...I can already see the inevitable before it occurs. *sighs*...
If these are going to be account bound...the least someone could do is turn off the decay...especially considering the price!

1) warn you on login when its 'Greatly Worn'
then if you do nothing, move on to:
2) cancel any fising quests (so you lose fishmonger rep)
3) dump the hold (so you lose all the items)
4) dry-dock the ship and bounce it to your bank or pack (perhaps with a serious ding to the damage state)

As to the ship? At that webcam meeting thing they did, they stated, as I recall, that they'd be selling the Britannian ship for RL money too.
I suspect that is the preferred method of getting it. One wonders what the price will be. (If indeed I'm remembering this accurately at all.)

I like 4. Yeah it's easy mode but for something this expensive it would be devistating to lose something like this over a simple mistake as not opening the plank to refresh it. Or hell, an unexpected trip away and that dang thing can go away even on an active account.
not really I'd be satisfied with a screenshot of it as I have always been with all the pixel crack they've thrown at us this decade.

what I think is stupid is I can buy a 150gp horse, that in a week, that I'll never lose. Here, people will spend 150mil and like 'acct-bound' soulstones, it can be lost/stolen permanently?

Aside from "it's a boat", what does the ship have to do with a fisherman, anyway?
They should add a new "Naval" collection at the castle or docks, with new items to turn in:
Something from the fishmongers - A letter of recommendation or something, for aiding the economy.
Something from SOSs - A ship name plaque or something, for locating ships lost at sea.
Something from hunting pirates - A commendation for securing the waterways.
And offer rewards like kegs of black powder, cannons, balls, paints, ships, nets, deco...
There's a ton of ways they could make it a load more interesting.
The Community collections as they stand encourage scripting, being dry repetition of an action. And the alternative to throwing a ton of fish at the guy is to buy it, in which case why not just make it a purchaseable (ignoring the bank box limits)?

Other people have voiced this opinion, but for 150 mil, and account bound, it shouldn't require refresh. Although, if it doesn't require a refresh, it could be a serious problem at docks. Hm.

Well obviously people like you who don't like anything unrelated to PvP don't care about any gold sink unrelated to PvP. So your opinion is kind of moot here.

Since it will take 1,000,000 crabs/lobsters to total the 10,000,000 points needed, and since 150,000,000 gps can buy what 1,000,000 crabs/lobsters can give, this makes crabs/lobsters worth the purchase to be used as points collection only if their price is lower than 150,000,000 / 1,000,000 = 150 gps per crab/lobster.......

I will donate crabs, lobsters and unwanted fish steaks, I will donate gold from mibs and I will take anything up to 18 months to reach my goal. I don't feel the need to have one the week they enter the game.

I would love to own that ship, but I'm not going to fish up 10 million fish. If you fish non-stop without sleeping, bathroom breaks, etc. (in other word, if you script), and we assume you pull out a fish every ten seconds, then it's:
360 fish per hour
8.640 fish a day
3.153.600 fish per year
So, hey! only 3 years of doing nothing else than fishing. F*ck that!
