My T-hunter would like an magical unravel bag to bring on hunts

In stead of dual clienting and and having to follow with a hidden imbuer, could my imbuer make a 10-20 charge unravel bag to give to my t-hunter to use? Now I am just leaving 80 items per t-hunt that could be put to some use. Just a thought, since we already have smelting bags...

Buy the skill up on T hunter and lock skill. Buy a salvage bag and unravel everything from the chest. Anything with a load of mods worth a damn the T hunter will lack the skill to unravel. Then can give that bag to the real Imbuer to unravel. Just an easy way for T hunter to skim off the crap they loot. What is left like neon and regular armor weapons lastly can be recycled if the same bag collecting method used during hunting.

Sorry that would defeat the need of a imbuer if a bag could do it. My suguestion is if you own a second account have a char loaded and with a bug under them so when your done bag the junk and they can ether be gated in (very easy now that we can run dual accounts at one time) they pick up bag and off they go to drop it off at home. I do this all the time for fishing and t hunting. My stock of imbuing items is growing every time.

Thats what i do now. it works. Unravelling is sort of the not so exciting part of imbuing and may as well be done by a bag. If you make it a limited nr of uses the imbuers are still involved in the process...

Smelting I was sort of wrong about, it still requires a skill on a character (mining) which my t-hunter has at GM, to use a bag on a fire bug.

I always mark a rune next to the chest. I also have a bag for crap loot to unravel. When it is too heavy, all you have to do is to recall to a soulforge and unravel the bag (you can even have an UOA macro for that).

The whole process takes less than 10 seconds. Btw, you can use the queen's soulforge to unravel even if you haven't built up your loyalty.

no, you either unravel an item, or 'container' such as a bag(unravels whatever is inside it)
They used to sell such a thing, they did away w/ that
you can use Any container now.

If subject of this thread has any legitimacy, then let's just double click the doggone Tmaps and have the loot pop into our bank boxes...sheesh.

Hope your previous 560 posts were a bit more on the mark. The problem is not one born out of lack of willingness to click, recall, drop of bag, logout, login, unravel, logout, log back in, recall back, repeat for second load. Not at all. That after all is what is fun. That is enjoying the game. /end sarcasm. May be you are also a BOS hater? Not using the EC as it allows you to mine with so much more ease? Crafting is just being cheated by having a craft # items option? /now really ending the sarcasm.


Opinions aside, asking questions in post on stratics do not need to be legitimized by Gowron, that I know for sure. As to your suggestion, I would welcome a debate about the pro's and cons of your sarcastic double click option, but I enjoy t-hunting.

Ummm.... I think its fine as it is now. if anything we need a way in enhanced client to loot to a bag or to be able to move stuff to a bag in your pack quicker then the drag drop it is now. then i am still new to ec and would appreciate any advice if theres a way now.

Your opinion of whether or not my posts are on the mark is of no consequence to me. All I see is, "why can't I just have everything be magically simple?" when this game has clearly been anything but. Bags of sending, I've been known to use them from time to time, but it doesn't inconvenience me that much to take items back to my house where they're stored for later unravelling. Of course, I don't unravel every item in the chest either, but I've acquired a nice enough amount residue, essence, and a rarely occassional relic to keep me entertained for a while.

You may return to your drivel about all the things that are inconveniencing you in this game. (Oh, and this post IS SPOT ON!)

bag of sending, bonded packies/blue beetle, mark/recall, you have tons of options how to handle loot and gold excesses. when i hunted miasma for items to train imbuing i would use the bag of sending to put gold in the bank, and then i would only loot weapons and jewelry as those had high mods (plus low weight). when i got overloaded i'd drop it off at my house, lock it down, and come right back for more. i'd have 10-20 bags locked down, log in my imbuer and get to unraveling. EVERY bag is an unravel bag in the hands of an imbuer.

Careful, you might be accused by the stratics righteous brigade of just wanting things to be made easier for your convenience. Personally, I think you are right. Perhaps multi-selecting in grid format would make it so much better. Just pull a window around the stuff and all selected stuff can be "pasted" in a bag. Like this idea a lot. However, poop chewers (borrowed from skrag) like to continue to chew poop.

To loot an item or gold from a corpse in the EC, you simply right click it. It will pop right into your back pack on it's own...no more drag and drop.

I DO wish they would allow a bag to be designated within the current back pack for loot, though. That would be terrific.

I don't like the idea of an "Unravel Bag" that can be carried and used by a T-Hunter, though, at first or second glance. I'm not sure why the "Mark rune after chest is done...have a recall rune to Queen's Forge...Recall and Unravel...Head Back to T-Hunt Chest as needed" wouldn't work. We have Beetles etc..

If they add the Portable Unravel/Soul Forge Bag, the I do think everything I right click when I am looting a corpse or Treasure Chest should go into my bank account, or into designated loot chests at my house automatically, depending on how I feel about the item...

Just a tiny bit of sarcasm...but a tiny bit nonetheless...

After all...if the game is going to be easy...let's make it fargin' Easy!!

I think they just haven't figure how to generate loot yet. After fighting off the spawn on a 3rd level chest I open the chest and start rummaging. A character that can recover this level chest should not find a 1LRC ring and a 4stam increase bracelet as loot. The chest knows how much gold a chest level should supply so should the mod generater for loot. Maybe the cap is controled right but the bottem end seems to left at junk no matter what level the loot.

i have noticed that. like champ spawn guys will have very low intensity stuff also. they should prolly look at the item rng and have it take the monster difficulty into account

You might want to check out Pinco's great EC UI mod. With his UI you have the ability to send loot to a specified container in your backpack. Click the "Pinco's Template Editor" graphic in Pinco's signature to get to his site where you can download the UI.

It downloaded, and worked like a dream!! That UI is awesome indeed. My back pack stays open! Legacy view with a grid!! Oh Man! And so much more!!

ive never used pinco's, but copper enhanced (and lucis also, i think) have the ability to tell you item weight just by hovering your mouse over it. so you only haul off items that you know you can gain skill from... saves a lot of time hauling loot

Pinco has included Dermott's texture packs for Copper Enhanced and New Dawn Client in his UI. Pinco's UI also includes the item intensity mod as well as a ton of useful features for whatever style of play you prefer (countdown timers, health level warnings, etc.). You might want to download it and give it a shot. I used to use Copper Enhanced and have moved to Pinco's UI and am loving it - I get the best of both worlds now!
