I got a gain tonight after several failures on a unicorn near Spirituality in Ish. No combat, no danger, everyone's happy. I'm at 105.6 now. Will try it again tomorrow night.
Assuming that you've got skills set to raise (and if necessary, something pointed down) then there's an odd trick that can sometimes get you gaining again.I'm doing something wrong because I haven't had a gain in several days and I've been taming bulls and gamans. I rarely fail and my lore is going up a little but no taming gains. I guess I'll try ridgebacks.

Stupid question: Do you have Taming jewelery on? If yes, remove it before attempting to tame.I'm doing something wrong because I haven't had a gain in several days and I've been taming bulls and gamans. I rarely fail and my lore is going up a little but no taming gains. I guess I'll try ridgebacks.

Gaman are right on the money. Safe area, mega-spawn and load up on leather....I'd stick with bulls or gaman (about 70% chance)...
I'll collect the horns sometimes and use that as a taming time indicator instead of saying "half an hour" or whatever, cause I tend to play flash games while doing boring stuff, and if I'm playing a flash game I'm not taming. So that half hour might go by and I'll only have gotten in a couple dozen taming attempts.Gaman are right on the money. And to for a break from the mind-numbing boredom, tame a bunch of Gaman and try to kill Kits. Does wonders for your Vet.
Another thought...you're very, very close to getting optimum Taming gains from Kits. So why don't you Tame kits and look for a pair of keepers? You're going to do this eventually so why not now! Tame some Gaman then some Kits. Again, this eliminates some of the boredom.I got a gain tonight after several failures on a unicorn near Spirituality in Ish. No combat, no danger, everyone's happy.
