That was the first time I won in the Ceo battle. I was kinda nervous. I did watch a youtube video that helped alot. Thanks Squeekers for the toon unite for gags. Hopefuly next week I will do another run.

I have not been with the group long. I feel very welcome into this group. Thanks for everything.

I do have one question. My question is does the pink slips take away room from gags ?

Pink slips aren't gags, they're just an extra weapon you can use. So no, they don't take away from your pouch room.

As for your edit, if you're worried about grammar (you spelled it grammer), then you might want to look at spelling as well. CEO, YouTube, Squeaker and Hopefully. :) Otherwise, don't let it bug you too much unless it's really messed up.

Some tips for you...

Waiter Room gives you double (2x) gag points.

Dining Room gives you quad (4x) gag points.

It's possible to kill V2.0's with only 1 gag track in 1 turn. Just make sure to reach double their hit points in damage. Level 8 is 90 so do 180+, 9 is 110 so 220+, 10 is 132 so 264+, 11 is 156 so 312+ and 12 is 200 so 400+. A good example is on a 12, 4 maxed cakes hitting should kill both the level 12 cog and it's skelecog counterpart. When this happens, you'll notice the cog do a "double dip" when it's bending down and about to spin/explode.

For any big battle (VP, CEO, etc), I encourage people to make sure that everyone has been fully tooned before killing the last cog. This doesn't mean using toonup during the same turn as killing the cog neither, since TU will sometimes miss. It's really bad when one or more players are going into the big battle with half their laff and they must spend time getting a toonup somehow, instead of putting their efforts into helping the team.

When serving drinks, serve at least 1 drink to the closest table. I always do that and then move onto the next closest table and I focus on that 2nd table. If I have a drink and notice more than 1 cog needing a refill at the first table (or if one is about to get angry), then I'll serve that one real quick and then return to the 2nd table. I generally let someone else handle the first table since it's close enough to the drinks to make it easy for one person to do all by themselves. Meanwhile I'm working on the next set of cogs so that we don't have to deal with them. I've noticed others doing this as well and it works rather nicely.

When serving drinks, don't over serve. It's better to work on the same 2 or 3 cogs at a time than to have a table of 6 'active'. It takes 3 servings to make a cog explode, so put the effort into that instead of trying to over-achieve. After all, if the timer runs out and you haven't given a 3rd serving to any of the 6, then what happens? We still have those 6 to battle. But if you focused on 2 or 3 at a time, you could have gotten rid of 3 or maybe 4 of those 6. Then we only have 2 or 3 of those to battle. Your limit should be based on how many you can have active before one of them needs a refill when you are returning to the table. The table closest to the wall (but not closest to the drinks), I can get 2 going at a time without help and keep them content.

When he yells Fore!, then move from where you are ASAP. If you are on a table, hop off and walk backwards (works most of the time for me). HOWEVER, if you're next to a table, hop on and start powering up the squirt. When he throws the golf balls, it won't hit you. This is actually a trick I use, especially if I can get to a table that is just barely touching him. He yells fore, I hop on and start giving him rapid -2 shots.

Unless there are going to be 3 or 4 players golfing, don't bother. Simple enough.

The treasures are worth +1, +2, +3 and +4 and repeat that order, starting with the apple. Do not EVER let your laff go below 60 if you can help it. If you happen to get into the 60's or below, then unless it'd put the team in jeopardy, go get a toonup! When you can, try to do it when you're down by 10 or more points, but that's a judgment call you have to make while you're in there.

If someone says "Let's use toonup" and then "This way", run to them if you need TU points. Someone is about to throw a TU unite. Normally this is near the big doors you came through earlier. If you're below 50 laff, ask for help. Almost always (even with randoms), there is someone who will click on you, see your meter and go out of their way to save your tail. They'd rather lose a unite than to lose a fellow team mate.

Unless the CEO is far away, don't try to get the -4 or difficult -6 damage. If he's close, you can usually get more -2's in, in the same time it takes to get just one -4 hit. Also, a -2 hit helps more than no hits if you try for the -6 and don't time it just right, or if he's coming for you and you 'almost got him' for -4. This is especially important if he's right next to you and you are able to do -2 on him every 2 or 3 seconds.

Sometimes I hang next to a table that someone else is already using. Then if they get knocked off of jump off (fore!), I will hop on and take over. Reasons for this are simple:
  • They can't get back on for a few seconds anyway. As such, they can usually get to another table and start shooting before they could get back on their last table.
  • If they got hit, they may need to get treasures.
  • The aim is already in the right direction.
  • I can try to get 1 or 2 hits in before I have to jump off if he had yelled 'fore'.
Keep in mind that others may use the same strategy, so if you are hopping off and someone takes your table, either go to a table or if you need it, go grab some treasures to get a TU (that's your best time because someone has filled in for you).

Don't stay at one table. Move around. If someone gets to and on a table just before you do, don't get mad or anything. It's no time to debate who's table it was. Besides, the idea is to get to and on a table ASAP so you can start hitting the CEO.

Most importantly!! Have fun. :)

Wow Fangs.. that was really helpful.. I myself have never read much about CEO either.. I just watched others and tried to pick up on it.. so your advice makes perfect sense and I learned a few things I didn't know..also WTG james!! I had no clue that was your first CEO!! You did good!.. Going with stratics is awesome for first battles.. and Fangs is right they do watch out for you cause ironically enough I got below 50 laff on that CEO and Squeakers gave me a mini lecture about not asking for help.. but I'm stubborn! This is really a great group of toons and I am glad to have you aboard!!

Thanks Wolfie and Electroflap. I like to learn new things. I know my grammer is bad . I have good english but bad grammer that drives me nuts. lol. One thing I learned from that win is that you need to work as team. The first group i went fought the ceo with did not work as team. I always say hurry when 20 seconds on the time clock. I dont know why i do that but i do lol. I see why we fought the Cfo. THe Ceo can be very dangerous. I died about 5 or 6 times before joining the group.

One person was taking the whole cake. I had only 10 laff points at that time on different run. I end up leaving sad.

I have trap, lure, sound, toonup and thow and squirt. I was wondering what is the best way to have my gags setup.

Electroflap dont worry if you need laff points just say it. No worries. I could have done unite if you would have stayed three more seconds by me. just wisper it to me prof Bingo Snorkelhopper. I would like to make a suggestion that we come up with a code word if anyone needs a toonup.

We do have a code.. if someone says " Lets use Toon up" and then " This Way" .. it means to head for the big doors for a TU Unite.. and its ok about grammar.. I'm bad at it too sometimes...

You're dropless. Easier to say that than to list all 6 tracks. I always recommend carrying the maximum of the the strongest gag levels (ie, carry your maximum of all level 5 and level 6 gags). After that, what you feel you may need. I personally carry additional toonup and lure, simply because 3 group toonup and 3 group lure aren't enough in my opinion. It also depends on what you are going to do. If you are going to help new players to defeat cogs, carry more lure and toonup. If you are going to do a cog golf course (aka CGC), cheat yourself of some level 5 gags (5 each instead of 7 each) so you have about 65 to 70 gags on you.

Don't worry, she didn't go sad, just got a little close to it.

As for a code word, how about "Help!"?

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Always a pleasure :) One thing I didn't see mentioned and I'm sure I'm just being blind as usual is that, for the most part, we don't use the golf balls. It's just something that we, as a group, have decided works best for us.

There is always plenty to learn and you've found the perfect place to get all of your questions answered!

i may be caffeine deprived and therefore missed it somewhere, but does anyone know the amount of seconds it takes for the cogs to drink? i have often wondered if it is better to wait (if the drink is red) for him to finish and then feed him again or if it isn't quite up to the top, is it better to feed a new cog. i rationalize that i want at least 1 less cog if possible, thus staying with the red cog, versus going for another when there aren't enough seconds left.
if there is no prayer of the new cog getting wiped out, then hovering over the red one makes more sense..any help for me?

I think there about 128 on the timer but that my guess. it better to feed a cog three in row. when there 20 seconds left on the clock you dont have time for a new cog to feed.
I cant tell it depends on how far they are from the first table by the belt. I did go with a group once we feed all the cogs till we had just 2 cogs.

I mentioned something about it but more as a general rule not specific to our group.

susan:
I've wondered the same thing myself. For the most part, if there's plenty of time left on the clock, if a cog isn't showing a stomach yet and there aren't multiple cogs about to (ie, in a few seconds there may be 4 or more waiting for a refill), then I say to start a new cog on drinking. It's better than standing around doing nothing. When it's under 90 seconds, I think starting a new cog becomes pointless because you won't be able to finish him off, so wait a few seconds to refill a cog already drinking. I believe it takes about 30 seconds for a cog to finish off a drink. Since it takes 3 drinks to kill a cog, 3@30 seconds is 90 seconds, thus my mention of it being pointless to start a new cog drinking.

I go by table. If two toons do one table they can get it done pretty quickly. If I go to the table and none are ready for more then I will go to the next table. I dont worry about staying with a red cog unless there is less then 40 seconds left on the clock. I just make sure that I can handle feeding all that I have started without any getting angry. I won't stand there waiting for one to finish if there is one sitting next to it that needs to be started. Yesterday we fed all cogs and only had to deal with the level 12 that comes out. That was great! I think it takes 29 seconds for a cog to drink btw.

If I dont have to work on the next run. I am going to bring a stopwatch and have it near my computer. Then time my first cog at the nearest table.

could a use a stop watch timing my toon feeding a cog three times to see how many secs it takeS?
If you do that, just time it for how long it takes for 1 drink. Three of those is the total time, and the time for just 1 drink would help the most.

I need to CEO in the morning. I'll try to time them to see how long it takes for sure.

It takes about 4 seconds to feed the cog on the first table by the belt.
Okay but how long does it take the cog to actually drink once you give it to him?

That's what Susan was asking, not how long it takes to get from the belt to the cog.
