I saw one on Cats last night at 11PM PST and alls they could do was whine at how dead Cats was, I called him a troll, LOL
Based on the various posts I've read, I tend to think Broadsword made a big mistake. If the reports are at all accurate, I can't see coming back with Endless Journey. Even for someone who isn't a "collector" and doesn't need a lot of storage, it seems to me that a sub is the only way to go if you want to enjoy UO.

They need to model after Eve Online. Eve really opened their alpha (ftp) characters to do more but they can buy a lot of things from the official store for money to help out. It basically gives them a ton of fun but always leaving them wanting more and so they end up subbing. Those that don't still buy things like plex and stuff so it keeps the money train rolling. The alphas bring a lot of PvP in which keeps the Omegas (subbed players) paying and playing. It can't be too restrictive to encourage vets to return and new players to join but at the same time, it leaves your mouth watering to sub.

Regarding UO and EJ - I want to know what has happened with Steam. I mean it's only the biggest online distribution platform for PC games. They went through Steam Greenlight (and got greenlit) but then nothing? And that was a couple of years ago or more now. Since then it has completely fallen off of the steam radar.
But that is the whole problem with UO. It has suffered well over a decade of mismanagement yet is still going despite that - but just barely. And at this stage I do wonder if anything they did would be too little, too late.
