Have anyone tried getting more inteligence for greater mana regeneration?
My thinking is that Ursine seems to be training his mana rather quickly - due to life leech being casted pretty much every shot - so every 1.25 s it uses up 5 mana. At 368 inteligence, 120 medit and focus it regains 4.25 MPS (which translatets to 5.3125 per hit), which is sufficient just for upkeeping mana leeches. Sacrificing 56 strength (on average it should be 4 damage points) provides 5.16 MPS (which gives 6.45 per hit), allowing to cast spells like AI a lot more often (if mana is completly drained - every 30 seconds). It might be not worth losing 96 dmg per 30 seconds with chiv/ai, but maybe with other builds it's viable? Anyone tried something similar?

Pets run off the 30MR. All chiv pets are at 0 Mana within 30 seconds or less. Life Leech is using mana also.
Mine were at 0 on the shadow ele while skilling. They were not using Life Leech.
That's why you match a pets damage to the target, so the normal hits do more damage. Damage is your goal.
More intelligence does not increase mana regen enough to matter.
Everyone would have a serpentine dragon if it did anything better than 700 str.
Someone PMed me about a Blaze Cu he bought that was built with 650 or so Str so he got a good deal. I told him it would be ok, just cast bless on it when its fighting. But, I am not going to encourage someone not to build a pet for PvM with less than 700 Str, Can bless and that goes to 790.

But the bear looked pretty cool standing up fighting him. I'll stick with the Tritons for him.
Osiredon the Scalis Enforcer has Corrupted Life, Life Leech/Drain attempts will damage instead of heal. Corgul has Corrupted Life as well. Exodus has Null Life (can't Life Leech/Drain from him, but at least it doesn't damage you back).
Minion of Scelestus also has the tainted life force. Too bad there isn't a list somewhere to help keep track of all of the creatures with tainted life force. I found out the hard way with my life leech bow when battling scalis. LOL

Next question, if I were to get positive karma to pick Chivalry, then go negative again, would it drop? (Like how Parry drops if your wrestling falls below 100.) If so, any siggestions now that Chiv/AI is no longer an option (I already picked AI).

Chivalry AI/Chivalry pets do the most single target damage. The more damage these do, the more Life they leech back.
A current spawning 2 slot mare will have a better magery build.
The bears life leech is based on the amount of damage they do. Magery pets do not do much melee damage unless they have AI. AI would be what is killing the pirates, way slower than an AI/Chiv pet.
Costs almost 1500 points to put Magery Mastery on the bears.
Ok, open to Tokuno. Yes, it has Life Leech. I feel a stupid but I still haven't understood what it is to. I mean AI. I have always thought artificial intelligence but how do you get? It's a foolish question but I never asked and therefore I don't know

Dread pirate is not going to damage your bear. Its about the time to kill in this case. I'm sure you have a Magery Mastery Nightmare that you could time on 2 Pirates each and tell us the times.
If the bear is faster, is it worth the Millions they would cost now vs a free 2 slot Nightmare.
Bear has better animation and has cooler sounds IMO, so toss that in the equation also.
But if you have a 2 slot new color Nightmare, then that could be a determiner.
If Tigers could get Magery Mastery, I would definitely consider using one on a Dread Pirate, even if they took a little longer to kill it, for the sound and animations.

Sounds like you like it because it is a Bear no matter how fast it kills one. Which is fine.

I had 2 reptalon with 2 slots. If well trained they are really strong. I keep them dear them

A little question. I am training my first Ursine and I try to follow what Pawain said. I have never used AI. With my pet I do not make Champion and for now I only go against other monsters. I's usefull, in this case or does it only work if I fight against a boss? I don't know whether to put disco instead of AI. And Poison and Chivalry. I hope I explained myself well!
You should put AI on it.
Discord, poison and chivalry are magics. You can only have one of those.
Since you have never used AI. You should put AI and chivalry on it.
Discord would work better with a Triton or Cu Sidhe.
In the Cu Sidhe and Triton I have both Poison and Disco. Now in the first step (Ursine) I have already put Poison. Now I'm doing the second step. I will be able to put both chivalry and AI? I didn't know of this thing. That two magic cannot be put. But in the Cu Sidhe I put both Poison and Disco. And a Triton has Poison and Chivalry. And it went well. Poison Build
Unfortunately The Life Leech does not allow a good Poison Build for these.
You can add Poison Magic and open new Area Abilities but You can not add anything else.
The poison starts at 20, you would need to increase to 100 before moving on.
You can make This: Add poison, add Poison breath, then a new Magic
This: Add Poison and AI, then a Magic. (This would be your bear since you added poison already.)

You can add more than one magic to pets but the pet will use the last magic you add as an active magic. In all cases other than poison that first magic will go away and not be used if you add two magics directly.
You should copy pets to test center and build them there first, so you knbow you can get what you want.

Don't Ninjitsu/bush also work for abilities like frenzied whirlwind and feint?
That being said, I agree with Pawain here.
You can: a) Add armor ignore then chivalry, and deal with some wasted points put into poisoning, or
b) Add venomous bite or poison breath and chiv and lose out on the armor ignore., or
c) Go poison + armor ignore or some combination maybe?
Armor Ignore is a massive damage dealer, so I would recommend going A personally. The pet will lose out on some stats, etc., but that is the cost of not testing first.
Yes but those are added as requirements for those abilities. They would act as passive magics if you get them that way.
With passive ninja your pet won't hide.
But if you choose ninja from the magics menu, your pet will hide and do ninja attacks.

The order would be:
1. Armor ignore
2. Chivalry
AI is not a magic, you need to put it on before chivalry.

The problem is, only Armor ignore is useful for the average thing that we fight. Just like warriors use weapons with Armor ignore when they are fighting a tough mob.

Chivalry is the most damaging Magic ability.
Add Armor Ignore then Chivalry to your bear and it will do the most damage for you.
I pulled a Triton with Poison and Chivalry. But attacking a spiritually cu Sidhe I found myself dead in a moment without knowing why. There was a nearby satirus paragon. Is it possible that the Pet cast Spells in the area and also caught the satyr who obviously killed me? That's why I'm afraid to put Chivalry. Since then I always use Poison and Disco (since I don't know the other skills). From now i'll always put AI, and I will learn to use other options too.
