Melee Footwear - What Are You Using?

There really is very limited choice when it comes to footwear. Neither of my melee characters needs the shadowguard "waders", so the foot slot is pretty open. I could either use soles of providence for the 80 luck, or boots of escaping to pad my dex against being cursed or up my str by 4 in place of dex.

What do you use for your melees?

My Sampire uses Arcane Thigh Boots, for casting Vampiric Embrace, Wraith Form, or Corpse Skin since he has GM SS. He carries around 5 stacks of 20 Pig Iron for casting Curse Weapon.
My Macer/Paladin uses Boots of Escaping.
My Thrower uses Unicorn Mane Woven Talons, for the Night Sight mainly.

I don't share suits so I need a lot. Both archers need mana so I use Escaping on those. Ideally I would want waders on those guys.

I think all my melee guys wear escaping so I can have 4 more str.

You can get no-durability boots or talons of escaping from treasures of deceit now. So you trade off durability loss for shard bound. Just FYI.

I was unaware the "normal" boots of escaping had durability. I will probably just get the event boots of escaping even though my paladin does not technically need them. I am always worried about getting cursed & my bandage timer going up.

old Of Escaping, or the lucky sandals, depending on my mood at the time.

Minax sandals. Dont need 8lmc on jewelry anymore. Plus colored sandals are the best for old day fashion.

I remember the days of having to kill tailor vendors in town to try and get their rare colored sandals! That was fun/silly.

Depending on the character, if I need dexterity, I will use the Boots of Escaping. If I have sufficient dex/stamina, I will use the usually use Mythical Detective of the Royal Guard boots for the +4 Intel. On rare occasions that one of my suits didn't hit a certain resist cap, I would use the +Resist boots for whichever was below 70/75.

Personally, I do not assign much value to Luck. So I don't use the Minax Sandals. I haven't needed to use the Anon/Shanty boots because I typically get the HCI/DCI I need through jewels and the passive warrior's mastery boost. I would suggest using whatever boots will give you the mod you need to hit your caps. If you have enough Swing Speed Increase, that should provide some amount of protection from slowing your swing down if you get cursed - so I wouldn't overcap if you don't really need it.
