Hi,
Is it possible to make blank ruins instead of having to buy them from an NPC?
Thanks, Katrena

Pfff thats dumb. Just Magery + Carpentry poof. How complicated does it have to be.It was originally explained to me as there would be too many steps, and skills, involved to make it practical, kinda like the steps required to fire a ship cannon.
Answer: no, and please leave it be, thanks
*shoots self*Hi,
..... ruins....?
Seeing people say ruin, instread of rune, is a sad commentary on the lack of basic knowledge people have about UO. Not quite as bad as a Dev flubbing moongate by saying 'runegate' in official fiction though. Yes, Mark, you'll never live that down.At first I thought it was just a typo, then you did it again in the body of the post.
Sorry, but Carpenters can't work in stone. Their chisel's are for wood. A mason is what is needed....Mining for the stone plus Carpentry for shaping the runestone(hammer and chisel) plus Inscription to enchant magical properties that will hold a mages' mark.
GM carpenters can work stone if they read the book that can be bought in Ter Mur or Vel lor RegSorry, but Carpenters can't work in stone. Their chisel's are for wood. A mason is what is needed....
