My word!

Found the pixie boss clear over in the maddening horror area tonight.

Along with some peeps using her as a shield to farm up the horrors.

I am pretty sure this is not as intended.

We had it on GL with the Ratmen renowned...god knows. We spent about an hour searching the abyss for them, found 1 near the fire pit demons. Paged GM's asking if they could just put them back...no not allowed.

Although having said that, i did take the pixie renowned once to do a few spawns...shes one mean beast!!! Even took her against slasher, she didnt last long there though!

No whey! I love the way it is now. I can drag around the renowned pixie for hours making it do mah bidding.

Heh...right RichDC...it only lasts two hits vs. the slasher...lol.

Oh please don't start trying to get them to box the spawns up.

One of the interesting aspects of all spawns is being able to pull them to other areas if you want. Without that, you get stupid spawns like the town invasions, where you work on a creature for five minutes only to have it pop and return to its spawn point. Disappointing AND unneeded.

I WOULD, however, accept the tracking skill being beefed up to tell you where a spawn boss or peerless is. Perhaps with 80 tracking you can track any mini-boss (as a dot on the map) -- at 90 you can pick a boss to track, plus you can see at what level a spawn is and perhaps where its center is.

I like this! It would make tracking a very useful skill again. If it could be done without being able to track humans from half a world away, lol. Course, that might be useful too. *raises eyebrows*

You also shouldn't be able to pull a boss out of it's relative spawn, thus killing that spawn site for every other player on the shard. There are others besides you that play UO. It's not intended to use boss monsters to kill other spawn for you. They've already set that precedent when they changed champ spawns and the town invasions. It was a good precedent to set.

I dont mind being able to pull spawn around...i do think maybe some sort of timer???

Say after 15-20mins the renowneds pop back, flexibility is good but the ability to pull of renowneds to grief other players isn't.

they should be leashed. i don't know how anyone can make the argument that they should be able to wander freely and used to kill other mob's.

in my opinion there is no difference doing this than hauling the champ off to town to be guardwhacked.

As creative as it may be, pulling the boss halfway across the world to use as a pet is wrong.

Please make them pop back to the spawn area after a certain distance!

The mini-bosses wondering away from their respective spawns is specifically a problem at the Cavern of Discarded. The rat renowneds have something like 25k HPs and while they're not exactly dangerous or threatening, it does take a long time to put one down.

What I've noticed is peeps will work the spawn and at some point when the renowned pops... they leave. The champ then wanders off leaving the spawn stagnate the rest of the day for others who need to farm the ingredients.

Since the 3 Rat Champs aren't particularly tough, perhaps they could remain in the general vicinity.

I kinda like the wandering guys myself. I did use the pixie last night in the undead spawn next to her spot(I'm not that creative). She did a great job!!! And I looted bodies.....it's kinda like being a tamer! =/

This is why It should be fixed.

Its not a tame, it was not designed to be dragged around to do any ones bidding.

It needs fixed.

I concur! They don't need to be leashed, but you should be able to find them. And breathing new life into an old skill is always a good idea.

I kinda like being able to pull the pixie to the undead spawn and fire spawn close by. But the point of doing it for me is to kill the damn pixie to restart the spawn. Not everyone can kill her.

However I do not agree with the people that pull the boss's away and not kill them when done or do it just to be a pain in the ass. Does this make you feel like your cool or something? lol If someone is honestly pulling the mini champ boss's away to grief people then i really think they need to get a life.

...

Add another vote for the Leash (as well as other fixes). It's a right pain to make the trip into the Abyss to find that the area you're wanting to work in has been rendered useless.

I don't care if they have a rope or not. I feel that this feature was reviewed and they moved on... example: the slasher is leashed. So, a timer sounds nice... otherwise if you can survive the run with her, good job!

Personally, I can kill faster with my MagE and it's more fun that way... I vote NAY on the leash and let peeps run their gig without prejudice.

Peace!
