Ten inside the walls, several more in the near vicinity. Oddly, Siege IDOCs are concentrated there. There are other IDOCs but they are spread randomly as I imagine they are elsewhere.

I have only seen two or three castles on "the list". I would love to see some off worlders come play Siege for a chance at a Luna house. Most of us do not really want them... Just sayin. No offence intended...

OMG Too many IDOCS!!
I never thought I'd say that. But I have seen atleast 100 houses condemmed out there. everything from 7x7s to castles. Mostly all falling on the same day. I hope I am around that day. But I wonder if they did something right or something wrong cause there seems to be too many at one time. Well 18x18 will only be selling to like 10 mil for a while. Seems if you look at 10 houses atleast 1 will be condemmed. Well good luck to everyone.

Be sure to open yer house sign too. If it goes over 24 hours and you may have to get a GM involved. Thanx kelmo I had opened the house sign to make sure it was the right house owner. Now that I think about it, that house is on LS and I am in CA, so I might possibly missed the deadline by a matter of hours. Oh well, I am watching it and will get it taken care of soon.

Okay, hear me out guys, this free to play discussions have happened before... But if there were more players in UO I honestly believe we would see a much healthier game and economy and I believe that through the game being BOTH free to play and having monthly subscriptions that they could greatly increase their revenue..
For example.. House decay, if you are on a free to play account then you should have to refresh your home every now and then.. (players will still return even if you didn't have to do this..)
However, on a paid account that you pay monthly for then your house would always be secure..
This would be the difference between paid and unpaid accounts and I am sure there are other things as well that a monthly account would have over a "free" one but there wouldn't be a huge difference.. Perhaps free account wouldn't get vet rewards?
Things like that.. Those of us who are really active would still pay for our accounts, those of us who really DO want to keep our belongings and have our benefits for paying monthly for our accounts..

This will cause a massive account signup as you still have time (as advertised) to refresh your house if you simply activate your account by a server up beforehand.

Exactly, a free account could still have a house, you'd have to refresh it, etc... Those who are still playing actively would most likely keep paying monthly for their accounts, they have nothing to lose.. It becomes risk vs reward, do I want to risk my house by having no monthly subscription fee? Or do I want to continue that fee and not risk anything?
This is what needs to happen with UO, it is the only way to bring back players and possibly more subs.. The game is so barren and about to become even more barren with the house collapse and whatever economy is left within UO is going to tank..

From what I have seen since 97... first the moneymakers will leech a shard, then move to another... when there is nothing left to leech... or when EA takes their place... then we might see uo become a game.
Until then it is mostly business for a small minority of players(that profit irl) that have a loud voice near the developers...

if all the houses make it to fall down day think of this so much stuff we wont have room for it all and a lot of stuff will go poof be for we can go through it all. so i say have a plan clean your houses up and keep the good things and dump the junk. cuz us idocers are gonna loot

"There is no shortage of UO accounts. There are no housing spots available, this is an outright lie by the infidels over at Blizzard. Our glorious leaders within EA have told us that statements regarding a supposed mass fall of virtual houses are greatly exaggerated. There is no need to merge servers, there are thousands, if not millions, of players on each shard. The transition to the new account system went perfectly smooth, in fact, once we were done with the transition we had a 150% larger subscription base than before. UO is worth every penny you pay for. Thanks for playing Dark Ages of Camelot."

Since I started playing Ultima Online, I have always not been in favour of any real money sale for any UO item between players. And, I never ever either sold or bought any UO item for real money with another UO player. Purchasing game codes for items or else in UO which brings revenues to the game is different, and I am ok with that.
I think that not blocking any and all transactions for UO items for real money between players in the long run has more hurt the game than helped it.....
The only thing that I could possibly favour, even though I never did it, is allowing the sale of accounts for real money. Not game items, but entire accounts.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to find not that many IDOCS on Origin...though Tyrant...the bane of my existance lol still has at least 20 houses still standing..mostly castles/keeps and 3 luna houses....so either that guy is REALLY rich..or they are all RtB houses.....which makes me sad.
I do know of people that own 16 or so accounts but they USE them...all these houses stand empty and have been that way for the last 5 years...I just don't get it.
Was also nice to see only a few luna houses in danger....even though Luna is rather empty on Origin I half expected to see more IDOC's there.

I don't know if that would work well for UO, but it has for other games... Second Life in particular, where you couldn't own land unless you paid to play.
I just spent a few hours looking for idocs on Europa. Sadly I found almost 120. That's just insane and shows how many people have left the game. This just makes things worse because now the game will be flooded even more than it already has been. More items to trade in, and more items to sell. Too bad no one's buying anything anymore.

Alot have left sadly. But, I shudder to think how many are just away from the game, still think they are paying but are not. There for a while I was away from the game for 8 months but was still paying, had account management happened in the middle of it, I would have been SOL. Feel sorry for those that are in that perdicament, log back in, expecting your house or CASTLE to still be there... and gone.
What do you base that off of?

My RTB account placed a new house and transferred the new house to my ACTIVE account. ACTIVE account transferred my old keep to my RTB account.
I just checked my old keep that I transferred to my RTB account, and it still shows as being automatically refreshed. Nice... but so wrong.

i find it funny that some of the people that like to get on here and just bash the heck out of idocers for idocing are getting on her and announcing that they have found x amount of idocs, or that they have not found all that many........know what people you just told on yourselves! see everyone likes free stuff, and there will be plenty to go around this time...so dont bash people just cause were good at what we do!

With the sheer number of folks I have seen running in the woods marking locations, I don't see any relics getting lost lol. Now castle spots? Sadly I see quite a few of them falling by the wayside as people place smaller ones. Very sad to see those go
