I seem to remember seeing a percentage of just how much a pets stats drop when tamed. Can anyone tell me exactly where to find that number? Or do you happen to know it?
Skills are subject to this, not the creature's stats. If I remember right they can be trained to 90% of pre tame stat or 100 whatever is higher
so if stat was 120 before tame you can tame it to 108 after tame (120-12)
have not checked this in a while so may have changed
My fault meant skills not statsSkills are subject to this, not the creature's stats.

To back calculate what its maximum skills will be, all you have to do is divide the fresh tamed skill values by 0.8 to get the maximum values. This works best if the animal has very low (<20) Anatomy, since you then know it has next to no training/fighting done. Since your Reptalon has around 40 Anatomy, your trained values may be off from the calculated values. Is there a way to tell my max values with this pet, or am I pretty much to late if I didn't lore it before I tamed it?
That is about what I got for its values, which means it can train back up to 100.0 in those skills. Any skill below 100.0, can be trained to 100.0. I think you may have tamed one that was on the low end for skills. They are determined independently from its hitpoints and resists.hmmm. Well. If I follow that formula, then the two numbers I'm curious most about (Wrestling and Tactics) would come to: Wrestling 91.25 and Tactics 87.375
I do know that a Reptalon's Wrestling goes above 100. So... Am I reading it wrong?
Beating down a pet before taming does not affect its skills or stats. There are some pets (blue beetle, fire beetle, and iron beetle) that must be beat into submission prior to taming, but otherwise it has no bearing on the pet's tamed values.Thank you for trying to help me figure it all out. The only other thing I can tell you is... the values of the reptalon I posted was beat down, before it was tamed. Does that affect it?
