It's probably one of the new 11th Anniversary dyed bod books that come in the ore and leather colors.

The 11th Anniversary Bod Books are dyed the material colors.
Could they have been that? I have some myself on a vendor if you need to compare. Bod Books are not dyeable to the best of my knowledge.

Look at the info for "11th Anniversary Items"... they are available currently only on Japanese shards unless someone has got them there and transfered them over to other shards. It's not actually "Dye"... it's more like 25 or so "Book Covers" that you get as one of the Items you can select.
We're still waiting to find out when these items will be available to the use player base but they missed the "Mid December" release date and haven't provided a new ETA.
It is a 11th anniversary item that is currently only available in Asian markets. They had a 11th anniversary box that was put on store shelves around Mid-November. There is a list of items floating around in some of the posts as to what all the items were (one of the item was BOD book covers). We were also told that we would be able to purchase a token from the UO website 30 days after it went on sale on the Asian markets so it wouldn't interfere with their marketing efforts (still waiting for the token). Currently the only way to get them on non-Asian shards is if someone transferred the item or token.
Thanks guys! I totally missed that information. The books I saw btw were all the ore colors + all the leather colors for 1m total, in a bag on a luna vendor.

I'd grab that if I were you. I've seen them selling (not being priced at but actually selling) for 12m and more.
Do you mean you have to claim the tokens on an asian shard and use the char transfer service? I don't know if that is the case. There is a player that has the bod books covers on Siege. You can't transfer anything to or from Siege, so he must have been able to claim them directly on Siege. Siege is a North American Server.

Again folks i have seen these for 50-100k a book..on Europa please dont get fooled into thinking they are uber....bare in mins theres 9 ingot and 3 leather so 12 books in total.... so 600k to 1.2m is going rate for full set of same.
