Its not necessarily a bug but it is an issue, if a house on a close account starts to decay before the account is paid for it won't refresh. There is a new rule that reactivated accounts can't place/accept a house trade for 7 days, unfortunately it also prevents an account from refreshing their own house. Easiest solution if a GM won't refresh it for you, is to trade the house between open accounts then trade it back in a weeks time.

I have a 2nd account that I cancel from time to time like others do. It had been cancelled barely 1 month. The Return to Brit started, so I logged in on that account w/house and goofed for a while. RtB ended, and my house fell 2 days later. It had only been cancelled for barely 30 days. I didn't bother questioning it or arguing it with EA, what would it have mattered? My cancelled acct house falls in only 30 days, LA is still littered with DSFASFA houses, LA Malas still doesn't have a single Castle that was promised, and there are still obscure houses here and there, with no owner, that have been there for 3 years, yet the server decides to decay mine.....there's no winning with EA.

"It had been cancelled barely 1 month."

"The Return to Brit started, so I logged in on that account w/house and goofed for a while. RtB ended..."

Rtb was open for 30 days so 30 Rtb plus original 30 unpaid equals 60 days.

However, isn't the grace period still 90 days?

Where is this new rule? I cannot find it in any publish notes.

The only references to housing changes I found in the last ten publishes was about trial accounts, not reactivated ones.

In the support KB is written, that if a house does not automatically refresh after one day, the owner should contact a GM to fix it.

RTB does not count into the time frame of refresh, so if your account was canceled 90 days ago, but you played during RTB, the timer for the 90 days is still based on the cancellation.
(RTB accounts did not count as active.)

The non ability to place or trade a house to an account can happen, if the account took over or placed a house just before the last subscription ended. The timer for this does not continue to run until the account is reactivated.

This happened to me a week ago. I had to page a GM, but they were more than happy to fix the issue and switch me to auto refresh. I had to wait less than 20 minutes for a response once the ticket was filed.

If you are still not refreshing, page a GM.

Best of luck

Had the same issue. Reactivated my second account after 90 days to refresh the house. The refresh failed, a GM had to fix it.

After 90 days its SUPPOSED to be decaying, I thought... and condemned even if you reactivate...

Initially it just starts decaying and should fall at 95 1/2 days. They can go owned by OSI though if there are rented vendors on them, and at that point they are no longer fixable by GMs and will just cycle till they fall.

If a house is decaying from non payment and you pay and have been in game longer than 24 hours and it isn't owned by OSI you can page a GM to get it refreshed. Might take a couple tries but it can be done (from what I've heard, I just pay through for all my accounts).

Yes it is supposed to enter decay after 90 days of non-payment. However, as long as you reactivate 24 hours before the house reaches IDOC then it is supposed to refresh. If you wait until the house is already IDOC to pay, then the house cannot be refreshed and will fall unless it is transferred.

It's quite clearly explained in the playguide under House-Maintenance.

Yes, and exactly this does not seem to work properly.
I always reactivate my account immediately when the house goes in decay mode.
