But considering how bleak your numbers make things appear, it should give them good incentive to fix it fast.
Sorry that happened. It's pretty discouraging to realize how much time I wasted in the last two weeks working with bad data.

Heh!It's pretty discouraging to realize how much time I wasted in the last two weeks working with bad data.It is an excellent project, Tina. If only you had access to accurate numbers.![]()
I'll try to keep adding the current information on a daily basis for as long as I'm able to and hopefully I won't miss too many days in the process. Keep in mind when you look at the historical data that there are many many gaps in the data. I could only type in what ended up being archived and in all cases no info seems to have been archived past August 2008.
Origin and the Top 20 Guilds listing probably won't show updates for another three hours or so. Baja, LA, Napa, Pacific, and Sonoma should update in the next hour or two (assuming they and Origin are going to update at all).Nothing for Origin, yet. It does look like GL updated within the last two weeks. I've been away, sorry. Can't call it closer than that.
With all the issues these numbers seem to have every couple of months and how much work it is to manually keep track of them, I doubt that I will ever get to the point of even beginning to consider coming up with any kind of averages. I just track them to kind of get a vague sense of what's going on with the game's subscriptions on a particular date compared to some earlier date and to make some loose comparisons of activity/population between shards.Tina, have a couple of questions for you.
1) Knowing that some characters dont get logged in every 30 days when players use other characters more then others. Plus with holiday gift items, which would throw off any guilds numbers when they do sign in on all their characters during the holidays. How do you really determine if the numbers are accurate or average sum if you used all 12 months or do you base numbers off of the peak non-holiday months?
2) With the above question and lets add past site issues, present site issues, future site issues, inconsistent guild members who dont play every month, and peak seasonal times around the world. Do you feel the numbers wont truly reflect even a true constant average of guilds numbers with all those circumstances?
I hope I made sense.
