i see many of these items are not rares. i understand wanting to list them in a single auction, but also dont want people to be deceived. i know in previous auctions there were several items that went extremely high because bidders thought they were non-spawning rare items.
would it be possible to list (spawning) after items that arent rare.
another option is to list a return policy in the rules if a buyer later finds out an item isnt what he or she thought it was.
thankyou for running these auctions, i know its alot of work, i do also see the ideal rares forum being a sort of "safe haven" where new collectors dont have to worry if posted items are actually rare or not.

Sigil items are arguable; is there any way to tell them apart from regular items dyed with natural dye? i know lanterns can not be dyed but thats all i know of.
Halloween items are arguable because they spawn, just at a lower rate than most items (only 1 month a year)
Also every item in the "spawning rares" section. not sure why this in the rares forum

I'll reply this once, but this is an auction, not a discussion thread; let's keep it clean for bids, please?
First, this is an auction. It is not a store with a 30-day guarantee. So no, I do not offer a "return policy", any more than someone buying an item from a vendor can decide to return it. There is no deceiving of people going on in any of my auctions; bidders pretty much know just what they're bidding on.
Also, this is a "rares" forum. Spawning rares are still spawning - but that doesn't make them any less a "rare". Hell, daily rares have been spawning once per day per shard for 17 years, yet we still call them "daily rares". In the same vein, the first crystals of the current global event cycle were being sold widely in this forum long before most shards had even had the event. Whether something is worth 100 gp, or a billion, a "rare" is still a "rare" is still a "rare".
Also, any of the spawning items were specifically noted as such when run in 14h, and are noted here where listed. "Spawning Rares" and "Veteran Items" is pretty clear. Plus, those unsolds moved here only when that auction ended; that gives them a little under 23 hours presence here between the ending of 14h and 14i. I don't think less than a day's exposure here is somehow harming the "safe haven" of the "rares" forum.
* Slippery Snake Skin - rare drop, when it dropped, and as far as I know, it hasn't spawned since the Ophidian war. I know I've found none to loot since then.
* Evil Orc Helm - rare orc lord drop
* Arrow Shafts and Lockpicks - stealable hourly rare from tinker shops... but most (all?) tinker shops are so full of keyrings that few were spawning even as long ago as 2007, 2008.
* Daimyo's Helm - minor tokuno artifact; hasn't spawned since about 2006.

Incorrect; that's like saying that Christmas items aren't rare because Christmas items spawn every December; it ignores that there is no guarantee that holiday events will repeat each year, or that most of them, in fact, don't repeat.

I did want to specifically address your comment on "sigil".
Sigil is hue 11. Regular NPC dye tubs and furniture dye tubs *can* be set to hue 11. That is why so-called "sigil furniture", curtains (regardless of the "sigil curtains" that sold for 10m at Norrington's a year or so ago), and most clothing are *not* rare. (I know that the hooded robe/monk's robe graphic cannot be dyed with a dye tub, I'm not sure if there are any other exceptions with 'cloth' items.)
On the other hand, metal and leather tubs do not have access to hue 11. They can be dyed with the various purple dyes, but there is no hue 11 purple dye for metal or leather, hence both why they are "rare" and why people collect them.
* Regular purple natural dye is hue 15.
* Bright purple natural dye is hue 316.
* Ice purple natural dye is hue 511.
* Dark purple natural dye is hue 1254.
(and for the sake of completeness, purple barnacle fished items are hue 2716.)
