Hey Devs, fix this also. I'm debuffed/plagued: apple, only plague gone.

Enough already. It's obviously not intended, and is yet another huge advantage for mystic mages.

If you're not using chivalry, or mysticism, and you're fighting against mystics you can either:

a) Keep the debuffs on (usually curse), and wait for the spell plague dump.

b) Eat the apple, and take your chances.

It used to be explosion/curse was the opening combo I was always being initially attacked with. Now it's just curse/they run off screen/come back and drop plague. I apple, curse remains. They start their cycling. BTW, this is one of Rabbit's (Restroom Cowboy) favorite opening setups.

It's pretty lame the huge advantage mystic mages already have over every other mage variation, but debuffs staying on because you decide to apple when someone plagues you is a tad imbalanced. It's particularly fun playing the "a) b)" guessing game when you're fighting against multiple mystics.

I would've whined a while back about this, but I figured it was so obvious that this was an unintended bug, that it would have been fixed by now.

The way it is now is more then fine, keep it as it is.

I take into account when making chars my stats so when i get cursed im not suffering for it.

I agree with this, either make apples reliant on magic resist or increase cooldown or only remove one curse at a time etc etc. They way it is now its stupid...

i always felt apples should only take away the most lethal curse you have on you, and not the whole thing.

Kinda makes apples over powered against things like a necro.

For instance, it'd be nice if you were strangled, cursed, weakened, and mortaled.

an apple removed mortal

if you were just cursed and weakened, apple would remove curse but leave weaken, etc etc. Would make something such as a necro popular again. Apples negate so much of a necros offense.


personally, i like how u can curse and sp someone, and the apple just removes the plague. I always hated seeing someone get just dumped with blood oath/strangle/corpse/curse hit an apple, and it all just goes away.

What is the point in casting curses when it can ALL be just taken away with a consumable.

Ya cmon devs!! You should make all heal pots give you full hp/stam/mana and cure pots should make you immune to poison for 10 minutes after you chug them. Jeeze guys you really dropped the ball this time.

Any (non)mystic mage vs Mystic mage = huge advantage for the mystic due to this.

It's not enough that cleansing winds is so overpowered that it borders ridiculous.

It's not enough that magic arrow got an exact duplicate spell (speed-wise) in nether bolt, to spam with.

It's not enough that spell plague is so over the top powerful that even tons of dexxer variations use it.

It's not enough that rising colossus is 100x better than energy vortexes (just to keep the pvm'ers happy).

It's not enough that healing stones are nearly as good as ecru 50% EP chugging for mages, so mages have no reason not to use a crystalline ring now and "omg look, I get free +20 focus now too"!

It's not enough that spell trigger allows a knockout "instant" punch with bombard.

You guys "really" need every other debuff to stay on your opponent because you decided to spell plague someone? Even though none of the other mage variants have this kind of ridiculous power?

You guys are as bad as Restroom Cowboy with those kinds of excuses.

"I think apples are overpowered. I think it's fair how it is. I build my suit/stats to be able to handle curse staying on".

Dumb.

Of course they have. Didn't you notice how many different variations of characters there were to fight before the mysticism "attractiveness" came? Now look at the game.. what's everyone want to be? A mystic... They'll defend there need to be nerfed template to no end.

Honestly the game was a lot more enjoyable before you could be killed in 2 shots, and we got a whole new swarm of ability's that have bugs when paired with other aspects of the game like what you're talking about.

So when we all are Mystics and actual Mystics get spell plagued, then they will find up that Misticism is overpowered. But alas!!!, is Misticism intended to be the only template for PvP??

You do realize that this not only affects you right? I can cast cleansing winds and eat apples till the sun goes down and still not lose all the debuffs. So please stop crying about mysticism being the cause of everything you die to...mmk? Thanks.

If you notice, the original poster said that apples removed the spell plague...so why would he complain about mysticism being the cause? These threads just keep getting more ******** all the time...

You are suggesting that a CONSUMABLE be made better. Apples/pots/petals/etc should have NO PLACE in PvP whatsoever. This is the biggest problem with PvP currently, even above the mystics. So please, if you're going to whine about something make it something that will change the game for the better.

Spend more time reading, less time thinking you know everything. I could be fighting a necro and have the same issues, or even a straight mage and have the same issues. Quit crying already about this being a *mystic thing*...it is affecting everyone.

Apples are fine the way they are. One apple to remove ALL debuffs is ridiculous, enough said.

It's got nothing to do with the apple. Apples ARE overpowered, but there's no reason that they will take off 20 debuffs on someone UNLESS there is a spell plague on that person. Then it only removes spell plague. Do you comprehend?

And yes only removing plague is gay as hell. Definitely can't argue with that. If it's only gonna remove 1 debuff then it should be like that no matter what effects are on you.

Wrong, I only comment on your unremarkable desire to troll my replies. I find it amusing, hence using your quotes. Lets just face it though, you feel the game would be better without mysticism...it would be best just to begin with a new thread about that.

Without mystic a mage would never and could never beat any good dexxer 1v1. Dexxers ruled the game VERY soon after imbuing was out. All bows (weapons) were insane and they all had 50 EP....not to mention 180 stamina and 100 mana.

I play on both sides of this all the time as I have a fencer/archer and a mystic.

Yes restroom is, i dont know, a restroom cowboy the name is true. The thing discribed here is sad and should be fixed and / or changed, but i think they are not chaning it because they think it is okay, i think they are not changing it because they are busy with the booster.

Ahh and toilet cowboy you know it is true what is written here, otherwise you would not play this template ;)

You are right, but that is not an excuse to introduce a stronger more imbalanced template.

I said it many times before, mage spells have to be stronger, or casting focus maybe, but not introducing one spell death combo, thats idiotic and booring, also for good mages! Maybe also a SDI cap of 30 instead of 15 or more.

I kinda like some of these ideas. Mage spells have definitely gotten weaker over time with everyone running around with corpseproof all 70s suits. Even when cursed it's pretty easy to heal thru a lotta straight mage dumps without much fuss.

It seems pretty obvious that apples should remove all curses when eaten. Clearly not intended to work the way it does.

Personally I dont like the way apples and trap boxes nullify the entire skill line of resist magic.

They should beef resist magic up to resist debuffs better (some debuffs are affected by resist magic timer, like para, others stick for full duration even if you have 120 resist)

and apples should still remove a debuff or two, but you should NOT be able to apple and get rid of all debuffs to avoid investing in 120 resist spells...

trap boxes should also have reuse timers

Maybe you can keep high karma as a red because you suck at PvP and don't ever kill anyone.

For us talented players, its difficult to maintain high karma as a red because we kill players.

ROFL. According to your posts you're a warrior of some sort, and according to your pictures you kill one blue for every 7 red/grey/oranges (which you probably just came upon corpses and took ss). I don't see it as being a problem for you.

NdIs this post about apples not functioning correctly or qqing about SP?
And SP is a fair addition to mages arsenal so now they can burst like a dexer. On the other hand the last thing I want to hear is the bok bok zero skill chicken SP dexers defending their newbie SP nerve tactics. If there is anything wrong with SP other than its blocking apples is they should only proc when a spell dmg is inflicted.
