I have been considering the issues concerning the current story arc and am thinking that many appear to be due to lack of forward thinking.
We were told that we needed to develop loyalty for just one town and that it could be gained by arresting rioters, putting out fires and clearing rubbish.
What we were NOT told was how long this would go on, what each action is worth, how we were progressing in loyalty and we were not told that loyalty WOULD DECAY. Was this because if we had been told the whole thing would have never got off the ground?.
Was it not considered that if we used a crafter or mule the decay would be made worse by enforced periods of inaction when raiders are present in the chosen town?. The raiders are far too tough, fast and numerous for my crafter. So on those days that raiders are there he loses loyalty. I have no complaint about the raiders, thats part of the event, but the decay is unnecessary.
Why is the decay required?. Surely as this event is intended to be over a period, a slow build up should be allowable?, especially for those of us who are not able to play for any length of time. Decay is also detrimental to players who can only play on certain days or times. Was this considered?.
What bothers me most is why all this secrecy, after all this aint the Manhattan Project, time and time again we are stuck with what is given to us, not what we would like, in fact quite often the reverse.
I'm afraid it all baffles me, time for bed.
