Just a brief note as I crawl off to grab some sleep:

I am now a back-up Mod on Siege, to assist Kelmo. :)

Now, before you start feeling all invaded and misunderstood, let me assure you that I've had a presence on Siege for quite awhile now. I simply prefer to play out of the spotlight when and where I can, as I get enough publicity elsewhere. At any rate, I am not an alien. Honest!

Anyone familiar with my style from Those Other Forums should be able to put any remaining fears to rest. I have not come to conquer, I am disinterested in power, and I have no agendas (hidden or otherwise). My overriding motivation is as a staunch supporter of community...and to me, a community embraces all playstyles and all voices. Sooo...as long as folks are basically decent to each other, I am generally happy.

Hope that made sense. *grins* I had a seriously long day today, and should have been asleep a few hours ago. I wasn't anticipating this appointment in the wee small hours, 'else I'd have composed a proper speech. Or something.

I would offer up a chair and whip to assist ye in your endeavors, but alas, my crafting skills does not allow me to make chairs and uhm... I kinda like me whip, so I'll be keeping that. Perhaps if ye find your way over to the vicinity of the Sheep Ranch ye could borrow it?!!

Ok punk, who you calling a trammy? I'm a very red anti who won't use the 7ae stuff. I'm all for removing the blessed status of rune books, hell even spell books if they were easier to craft. I'm a mage, not some punk ass stealth archer and I won't run from a fight, may leave as a ghost, but I'm not going to run. Am I trammy because I am in an rp guild? I got news for you, your more of a trammy than I am, mr I pick up stuff off the ground instead of from packs.

I have been a poster on stratics for uhh 9 months and 8 days.. I have posted way too much since then, and In all that time I have seen 3 active moderators of this forum..

I have not liked all the moderators, I am neutral with one no matter how much he hates me.. And there is one I really miss and respected completely before her leave, I didnt realize how good of a moderator she was until she gave up the position..

As for Dor, I have but two questions!

- Do you see a difference between, board PvP and Personal attacks or anything else against the RoC..

- Where do you draw the line in the sand on warnings/ban? Is it high tide or low?

Dor is one of the fairest Mods on Stratics in my opinion. And I even have a couple of unofficial warnings under my belt from her which were well deserved. I don't think you'll have a problem with Dor, Mem.

Its just that when you got someone that hangs in a certain click and cant stand another they take sides, like kelmos one sided view about people he dont like or agree with the I^A live life in a chatroom playstyle.

Hmmm. Okay, I never gave it much thought before, so I dunno how well I can describe it for another. Boiled down, though...I basically like people. Alot. I even tend to view posters as individual, actual people. *gasp* Given that, I prefer to work things out privately where possible when problems arise (cutting out the middleman and the peanut gallery), so that some mutually agreeable solution can be reached without loss of face on either side. My main objective at all times is to evenhandedly support a healthy, thriving community...one which (especially here) is at its most vibrant when all disparate elements are included, rather than excluded.

I abhor politics! As such, I tend to remain as free as humanly possible from any entanglements, special interests or affiliations (they hurt my teeth, dontcha know). I am a staunch supporter of neutrality--to me, being neutral does not mean a refusal to take sides, but rather the propensity to see all sides equally. And hey, I have no peen to measure, so I really do not get embroiled in such contests.

Seriously, Mem.. this is exactly how both Dor and Kat handled things on the Sonoma forum. You'll get a friendly (or forceful depending on the problem) PM from Dor vs. a public hand slapping. Keep it up and let the hand slapping commence!

Kind of a siege community inside joke? A certain fellow with the intials SD in no specific order got a 24 or however many hour ban for posting a picture of a monkey carassing a robot..

His motives for doing so was someone started a thread of basically jibberish as if he had been so drunk he passed out on his keyboard and submitted the results..

The picture read, "I dont understand this thread, so heres a picture of a monkey humping a robot"

Dor is fine for ya'll who don't know her, she's an old school mod, goes by the spirit of the RoC rather than being a rabid rule enforcer. And if you do something bad and are genuinely sorry she will usually cut slack. She's a good choice, ya'll make sure and appreciate that you got her instead of god knows who.
