I still tried to keep both hands on the wheel with the camera on the top of the steering wheel. I was thinking if I was in an accident, the video footage would have shown that I was being an irresponsible driver! It probably would have puzzled the cops and wouldn't have held up well in court..Glad we didn't get to see an accident! LOL I grumble when Hile doesn't hold on to the steering wheel while driving but at least he isn't filming at the same time.
Yup, they are right on the road. Some don't even have a sidewalk in front, but most do. Actually where I work is directly off the main route. We have a fence though separating. It's pretty ghetto and accidents always seem to occur right outside. Those houses in Middleburg seems to be right on the road. Or does it just look that way
Haha I never noticed that, but yeah you are right. We don't mess around, double reinforcement the first time saves trouble later! It really could have had something to do with the steelworkers union. I know in Massachusetts they have some crazy laws. We aren't allowed to install certain vents in houses before we ship them, due to a union law that says they have to do it once the house arrives in MA. Again, that's ghetto!I couldn't help but notice many of your street signs, which one steel bar could hold up easily, have two bars. Is that how you Pennsylvanians keep the steelworkers in business?
ChaCha is horrible, I have been on for about 2 1/2 hours and didn't get one single query. You gotta keep up on the forums though, I witnessed a catfight tonight between this chick who was getting questions and the other who wasn't! It was so funny watching them fight. Good times..I feel a bit blah about ChaCha lately. I didn't make my queries last week and haven't been motivated enough to answer anything this week since I went down to 10 cents.
Lucy is cute, but what energy pills are you feeding her? lol
Thousands of Pa. slot casino customers hear offer of freebies really was too good to be true
OH SNAP..NEW YORK (Associated Press) - An offer of $500 in free slot-machine playing credits was accidentally mailed to 55,000 gambling customers, leaving a Pennsylvania casino scrambling to placate customers and figure out how the mistake happened.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course decided to partially honor the offer on Monday after frantically calling tens of thousands of customers over the weekend.
The mistake was reported by WGAL-TV, which said some confused and angry customers began trying to take advantage of the offer that took effect Monday.
Penn National spokesman Eric Schippers said Monday the mailing offered $100 per week from Dec. 1 through Jan. 4, along with two free visits to the Grantville casino's buffet. Instead, the casino said it will honor $100 in credits and two buffet passes if they are redeemed by Christmas.
Schippers said the mistake occurred at a direct mailing business that he declined to identify. The offer had been intended for only about 1,000 of the casino's most active customers.
"What we don't know is how it occurred, why it occurred, and we don't want to speculate until we hear back from them exactly what happened," he said. "Rather than say, 'Sorry, it was an error,' we've said, 'Sorry, let's try to come up with what we think is a reasonable redemption plan.'"
If all 55,000 customers were allowed to redeem $100 credits for five straight weeks, plus two $14 buffet visits, it would cost the casino more than $29 million.
Schippers said another round of phone calls is being made to inform customers of the casino's redemption offer.
A spokesman for the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board said it referred the matter to its investigators to look into whether there were any regulatory violations. He said Penn National notified the agency on Saturday.
Schippers said he did not know what might happen if a customer were to insist on the terms of the mailing.
"That is something that the customer will have to decide," he said. "How can I speculate what a customer may or may not do?"
Information on the company's redemption offer will be posted on its Web site, and a recording will be available by calling 717-469-2211. Top of page
Lucy has been BANISHED to the hallway at night! My parents couldn't take sleeping with the beast anymore. So now it's like alcatraz in our hallway. My room has a baby gate across it as do they. The other doors all close. Then she chills in the spacious hallway overnight. It's still pretty swank, if I was a dog! If a robber ever tries to take down the place, they got plenty of baby gates and a great dane to tend to first. Who needs ADT anyway!Sara was getting worried about Lucy.
OMG She is afraid of them. We had folding chairs turned sideways to keep her in the living room. Her legs stood taller than the chair, but she was afraid of the chair! My parents actually put a folding chair in the bed to keep her out of it. They thought sleeping with a metal chair was more comfortable than having her there..haha She isn't the smartest tool in the shed..Poor Lucy. I'm surprised she doesn't just jump over the baby gates though or is she just too nice to do that?
