I am not the only vendor that has bought all that said vendor had. Said player intentionally put multiple items at a SEVER reduced rate to undercut 10 or so other vendors. Maybe I am the A$$h0le for trying to make a little money on my not so marked up items. When I pay 7 for an item and try to sell it at 10, that is good business. When someone comes in and puts items on a vendor for less than my profit margin that is pretty rude and has some intent to screw someone else. (Profit margin of 3 mil- player selling item for 2 mil)
they are right, you do come off as a greedy ass in this post.

why is is bad of the seller to want to move his product fast? if i had a bunch of stuff i was lookin to unload (like i did when i moved to siege) i would sell it for like 30% of normal luna cost, just to make it move within minutes and not days/weeks.

so, if you finally do end up buying him out, are you going to turn around and sell those that you about from him for 5 mil (2-3 mil profit) or are you just going to turn around and keep tryin to hock your stuff for 10 mil? r

emember back in the day when **** only cost K and not mills? haha, an uber weapon would go for 200k. i seriously cant think of much in this game that should be worth 10 mil, i mean, a castle used to be 1 mil (deed wise), isnt it kind of dumb that now people sell gorgets for 10x the price of what a castle used to cost? lol wtf?

I noticed from your sig that you are a thief. So when you steal something of value do you turn around and give it away or pay someone to take it off your hands?

There is very little that has held a low value of the years. Maybe some of the items on NPC vendors. And you can still place a castle for under 1 mil- the problem is there are no spots left. Back in the day people charged more for the houses than it cost to place them. 10Mil is about equal to 10k pre-renaissance. Back when stuff cost k's not mils k's were worth a lot more! Kind of like a loaf of bread from when I was a kid was $.5 now it is $2.75 and I am only in my 30's.

Sorry if i come off as a greedy @$$ to you in my posts. Had you read the entire thread perhaps you'd have a different opinion- or perhaps not. It does not really matter one way or another, but it looks like you missed about 50 of the replies.

Some of you have totally missed all the points I was trying to make. This issue does not just affect me, if it did I would just move on along. This affects multiple vendors and has negative impacts on the general economy of UO.
No, you have missed the point made by countless people. The only ones that this effects are the Luna vendors, who, by your own admission, are price gougers of the worst sort. Buy at 7 million, resell at 10 million... a 43% attempted profit margin... so someone undercuts you by 5 million - not the 8 million you are moaning about, but your initial investment. And continues to do so. And you turn around and buy his stock, and crank that 2 million investment to yet another 10 million price tag? And you want sympathy? If it were me, and I were to post something this self serving and whiny, I'd be grateful that arson isn't a possibility in UO, because I can see people burning your shop to the ground.

Deleted due to poor choice of words. I am done, I have no need to fuel the fire any longer. Sorry for the distraction.

In real life would you look at a grocery store sale and buy 50 bananas for 2 bucks then take them to your store and sell them for 4 bucks. Its not the same as real life, in real life there are suppliers, using a fellow merchant as a supplier will almost always burn you.

I have never ripped anyone off (unless you count buying items for below market value and selling them at market value as one stated was the definition of ripping someone off.)
Yes, it is a rip-off, because thanks to you, the customer has to earn extra mils (you could get 1mil for killing 500 swoops...you do the math...) just to buy the same item you purchased secs ago.

Must disagree with this. My reason is pretty much what I've said in the last few threads and post. I'll be happy to repost my point of view if needed. I hope we can agree to disagree.

So i assume you want all shops closed and people only do trades at bank and only sell the items they have gotten by them self ... thats kind of dumb if you ask me .:cursing:
Or maby you would allow people run shops but only sell items they looted ?
