This does not = damage increase, so can someone please explain what it is?

If I am at 100% DI does the damage modifier even apply in PvP?

Thanks.

This is somewhat confusing to explain... I will try to explain it as clear as possible.

The 10% modified damage calculates off your RANGED weapon's base damage. And takes that additional damage value and added it directly to your paperdoll damage figure and it's only active when you are actively swinging.

For example HXbow has a base dmg of 20-24. 10% dmg modifier means it will add 2-3?(depends on rounding) dmg to your raw dmg, and your paperdoll dmg shows you are doing a dmg of 62-72, when you are attacking something watch your damage figure closely, it will jump to 64-74 and after awhile after you stopped attacking it drops back down to 62-72.

There's is no documentation on this, the functionality of the 10% modified dmg I stated is purely based on my personal experience and experiments and the 10% modified dmg STACKS on top of 100 DI and DEFINITELY WORKS in PvP.

Hope that helps you. You can always shoot at someone and watch your paperdoll dmg changing, and you will know I am right.

Ok thank you. I did notice the base damage difference when swinging.
Appriciate the explaination.

according to the devs in past posts the 10% damage modifier gives a 10% increase on your total damage. for ex. say your base damage is 10-12. you have a 100% damage increase from tactics, str, ect and 100% DI from items.
then your total damage would be 40-48, so it would be 44-53(not sure about rounding) after your damage modifier was applied

I know DEV said that but that's NOT how it works. They are wrong. Period.
And you can prove that they are wrong, easily, and here's how...
Use the DI calculator on stratics and you will see it's accurate (if you do it right the dmg range on the calculator will match your paperdoll dmg). Putting on quiver will not give you any visible dmg change (unless you take a few swings at something) and I know this for sure.

I can guarantee you modified dmg does NOT increase your final dmg by 10%, I wont explain because I am lazy and I dont want to type... but go try it out and you will see.

Ok I will type it out with a LIVE TEST RESULT.

My archer on live shard using a Heavy has a dmg value of 72-86, I shot a few cats and my paperdoll dmg suddenly jumped to 74-89...

---If I was right then... 72-86 + (10% of base dmg of a heavy which is 20-24 rounding up gives 2-3 additional dmg) = 74-89

---If the DEV was right... 72-88 should result in 79.2-94.6 Rounding min down and max up gives us 79-95, assuming this is NOT displayed on stat page, you should be able to hit something with 0 resist for up to 95dmg, and I can tell you rightnow you will NEVER hit to 95, try it and you shall see.

Thanks.

decided to test it, the damage numbers you posted are correct(its taking 10% of base damage and adding it to your total damage). which means its either broken or was stealth nerfed by devs.
