It would seem you chose your mood well...and it seems to fit..Does anyone else see a hint of foreshadowing to the future of UO? EA threatens to implement 3rd party detection and UO forums go nuts. If they do go through with it, I'll be the guy standing on UO's grave going "I TOLD YOU SO!".
long overdue.Does anyone else see a hint of foreshadowing to the future of UO? EA threatens to implement 3rd party detection and UO forums go nuts. If they do go through with it, I'll be the guy standing on UO's grave going "I TOLD YOU SO!".
To get a head start, and be the first one standing on UO's grave. Make sure you go stand there now, and wait for the rest of us in the next 5 to 10 years.Does anyone else see a hint of foreshadowing to the future of UO? EA threatens to implement 3rd party detection and UO forums go nuts. If they do go through with it, I'll be the guy standing on UO's grave going "I TOLD YOU SO!".
Isnt UO like major league baseball? All hopped up on sterioids (3rd party hack programs) that prevent a normal player from winning? That is what I heard...Does anyone else see a hint of foreshadowing to the future of UO? EA threatens to implement 3rd party detection and UO forums go nuts. If they do go through with it, I'll be the guy standing on UO's grave going "I TOLD YOU SO!".
So you're saying we need a Congressional inquiry?Isnt UO like major league baseball? All hopped up on sterioids (3rd party hack programs) that prevent a normal player from winning? That is what I heard...
BTW, you will be standing on the dead horse on the grave... UO has been buried for a while...
A correction. It is a promise, not a threat.Does anyone else see a hint of foreshadowing to the future of UO? EA threatens to implement 3rd party detection and UO forums go nuts. If they do go through with it, I'll be the guy standing on UO's grave going "I TOLD YOU SO!".
Unfortunately, the only thing I see is someone being foolish enough to try insinuating that what happened to the boards had to do with EA implementing 3rd party detection.Does anyone else see a hint of foreshadowing to the future of UO? Millions of players have been running around with scissors in their backpacks. We all know how dangerous that can be. upon someones death those scissors could fly out of that person's backpack, and seriously poke another players toons eye out. So the safety of all the UO players toons scissors will be deleted which will cause the demise of UOLol, doomsayers are hilarious. Every so often there is a small group of you people or individual claiming UO is will die due to something they are introducing. So it seems this time it's the because they are implementing a system to target some specific scripts.
(or could it be they are just simply scared because that they might get caught? lol)
Wonder what the next doom-prophet will claim will result in the demise of UO?
Except it will never happen... the truth will never be told!So you're saying we need a Congressional inquiry?

Oh, another piece of misinformation, it isn't a threat, it is happening right now and has been for at least a week or two. As Cal said, they are weeding out the false positives, and the next step is action against the most egregious offenders. I can hardly wait.Does anyone else see a hint of foreshadowing to the future of UO? EA threatens to implement 3rd party detection and UO forums go nuts.
it might be what you hear on this forum, but it is not the reality in the game.Isnt UO like major league baseball? All hopped up on sterioids (3rd party hack programs) that prevent a normal player from winning? That is what I heard...
as long as it is profitable for EA, it will continue. the day it loses money is the day UO will be gone.UO has been buried for a while...
Allow me to clarify what I am excited about. I am excited about the prospect that cheaters will no longer dominate UO, the way they have up to now. I am excited at the prospect of a truly level playing field in pvp, where planning, determination, battle awareness, keeping a level head in tricky situations, and skill will give you the advantage, not whether or not you've managed to create a better version of a health script.Llewen has gone so far as to declare she is excited about the possibility of people getting banned.
I'm confused. on one hand you say there's hardly anyone scripting and that banning people won't affect the game, now you are saying they dominate UO, which is it?Allow me to clarify what I am excited about. I am excited about the prospect that cheaters will no longer dominate UO, the way they have up to now.
lol... we've been through this numerous times. you lost that argument in one of the other threads. nice try though. bottom line, you and the crowd of know-nothing hard-liners have failed at equating scripters with people who are IRL lawbreakers. it's simply not true.I'm excited at the prospect that some may finally learn that the TOS that we all agree to before we play UO for the first time, actually applies to them, and not just to those who are plagued by that out dated infirmity of the chronically weak minded, called "ethics".
we've been through this as well. who is smarter? the guy who sits there pushing a key 1500 times to cast earthquake or the guy who sticks a penny in the keyboard and goes to mow his lawn? we all know the answer.I'm excited at being able to recommend UO to other people as a game where how well you do depends on how intelligent and how resourceful you are, not whether or not you are willing to let a script play the game for you while you are at work, or at school, or sound asleep in your bed. I'm excited about the possibility that how well you actually play the game might be more important than your coding skills, or the coding skills of your friends.
now, what YOU want to do is try to tell people how to play the game.UO quite simply has the most depth of game play, the most freedom, and the most variety of any MMO I've ever played, in every way, including the people that play it.

scripts do not play the game, they accomplish boring, repetitive, brainless tasks so that a player can actually play the game and have fun.
