The problem is that there are no skills specifically tied into gardening per se, it's just planting and tending to seeds in plant bowls, no skill required for success.Title says it all![]()
This would be cool. Perhaps they can add an option for a few titles like this. Bartender would be another good one to add. Perhaps you can borrow from NPC barkeep titles.
Just curious - how many characters have you actively worked meditation or focus on? Same difference... yet they both have a title. At least with med, you have to cast something (but not really - there's a way to max it out without ever having cast a spell)... but focus? At least gardening requires some knowledge, and some interaction...The problem is that there are no skills specifically tied into gardening per se, it's just planting and tending to seeds in plant bowls, no skill required for success.
It's because gardening was originally intended for all character types, no matter what their profession. I feel it should remain that way.
Perhaps a special gardening skill title could be obtained through the future design and implementation of a quest or champ spawn reward. But until then the most you could do is have your gardener be your alchemist and display that skill title, because they are the ones that make healing and curing plants of fungus or infestations possible, along with healing and strengthening your plant back to it's maximum hitpoints.
I agree.I'd settle for the functionality that we had before the patch back.. As in being able to have three lines visible...
Name
Reward
Guild Title
Not the 'pick one and only one' that we got stuck with.
Build on what you have Dev Team, don't take functionality away...
Maybe obtained by eating a seed from a plant that can only be obtained by cross-fertilising, if the plant only prouced one such seed? The trouble is, gardening isn't a trainable skill, nor would most of us want it to be, for that would mean giving up skill points in something else.
However, I think it would possibly be obtainable through some kind of quest in the same way as the 'slime hunter' title was acquired.
It might be fun, actually, to put our heads together on here and devise a possible quest. If it looked feasible and not too complicated to code, not impacting too many other areas, with the bug creating possibilities that can lead to. Maybe the devs will use it.
