Smuggler's Edge ---- bug... broken... something........ when trying to use it or trying to steal from monsters period...... we are getting the messege that we cant not steal from them...


Please fix asap =(

Not just with the smuggler's edge. Stealing from AI as a whole is broken.

1) Character Statue Makers, if made to display in different pose the default pose shows as a double image and the new pose has no clothing.

2) Elf Racial Night Sight wears off when it should be a constant as a passive ability.

3) Boiling Cauldron leaves behind Stew that blocks house placement and stays forever needing a GM to delete.

4) Housing that never decays from banned, inactive, or return to brit placed accounts.

5) Other facets revert to Felucca trees for some unknown reason. Crossing a server line resets it.

6) When one of the new High Seas ships decays the ships cannons are left behind.

7) Ladders and Banners placed on the steps of keeps and castles are being left behind and unable to redeed when they fall.

8) Lost/Abandoned Personal Attendants running around by themselves.

9) Cannot disembark legacy boats if "Always run if this is checked" is checked. You have to uncheck it and walk off.

10) The following list of items have decay turned off and will never decay if left sitting around not locked down:
Soulstones
Philips Wooden Steeds
Black Cat Statuettes
a small piece of blackrock
a map of the known world
Random old furniture


My thoughts:

Some of theses are many years old, some new.

I imagine someday the servers with explode due to too many kitties, horsies, and blackrock left laying everywhere.

If all house addons from deeds redeeded like the Character Statue Makers it would probably fix both 3 and 7 and keep mini houses, parrots, and guild stones from going poof forever.

So what do you think is the intent behind them?

Making a player open up the options gump to uncheck something just to walk off a boat seems odd and clunky in the extreme.

As for the soulstones I can't think of a logical reason why they would make red and only red soulstones not decay. I would be more inclined to think it was intentional if it was all soulstones.

Their statement of the bug isn't even true. Only RED full soulstones don't decay.

My statement of the bug is that there are items that don't decay but should and then I listed a bunch off the top of my head, it wasnt' a detailed nor complete list as stuffy animals aren't on it. "soulstones" might not be specific enough for you but people knew what I was talking about. Nitpick all you want but I did mentioned it was the red ones in a follow up post if you had bothered to read on.

Maybe you should list bugs instead of nitpicking or being the root cause of them.

when you have a level 6 and then recast arcane circle with less people it goes down.

i think this is a huge bug that never got fixed yet.

Or you could just accepted a correction. Nothing wastes a devs time like people sending them on a wild goose chase. Accuracy in describing the bug is only way to get a bug fixed.

How is it you correcting me when I already stated it? Hopefully the devs are better at reading.

In the EC you can't place a deeded item if your not on the first floor as any item you try to place on any floor besides the first one will wind up one or two floors below.

In the EC when you are in design mode and you want to make broken stairs you can't because when you tell it to make the walls invisible it still leaves the stairs too.

People in the EC still can't trade with people in the CC because stuff randomly drops in the trade window and for those in the CC often ends up out of view.

Opening up your moving crate in the EC will cause excessive lag. Closing out empty boxes in the Moving crate while in the EC will also cause the same excessive lag. Closing the moving crate will also cause excessive lag in the EC.

In the EC, if you open a container with a lot of items in it, then close it, then open it again, it takes a lot longer to load than the first time.

Don't forget the bank box bug. Open bank box then atempt trade without moving from spot client crashes.

since this last patch on the EC client my guy keeps running after i lift the mouse button.

it used to be a problem before but it got fixed and now its back.

and no i dont have any of the always run boxes checked.

In the Encampment System:

Bug #1 (on 06/15/11, in Europa (publish 70.0.5))
Not appearing on TC1: (on 06/14/11, in TC1 (publish 70.0.5))
I can not see the prices after the 44th item on the fifth page of the Set Prices and Limits menu of the Commodity Broker gump. I can see the buying price and limit of the 45th item, but after that it is all blank entries.

When I change the order of the items from the View Inventory Remove Items menu and move these items lower than 44 (e.g. 40), I can see the set price of that particular item, so at least it set the price correctly, I just cant see it if it is higher than 44 on the list.

This is on Enhanced Client. When I open the Set Prices and Limits in Classic Client, my client crashes, every single time, even if I change characters.

Bug #2 (tested on EC, on 06/14/11, in TC1 (publish 70.0.5))

When I add a single golden/shadow/valorite ingot to the inventory, system message says I've "added x units of ingots" to the inventory, the single ingot disappears from my backpack and it is also can not be found on the broker inventory. The number x increases when I do the whole thing again, but it never shows on the broker inventory. Only when I add 2 golden/shadow/valorite ingots, the system message correctly displays the name of the ingot ("added x units of valorite ingots") and it is shown on the broker inventory (but not the previously added single ingots)

It might be related to the different graphics and possibly the different item ids of a single ingot and stacked ingots.


Bug #3 (tested on EC, on 06/14/11, in TC1 (publish 70.0.5))

When you click on View button on Pet Broker menu while the animal is already on display, the animal goes back to the broker. I can not view the animal again.

Scutteled and dead pirate ships giving the msg "Can not board while ship is moving" even though both ships are not moving and the pirtate ship is scutteled. there is a way around it byu going around the ship and boarding form the other side.. but shouldnt have to. Oh and ship of pirate ships still fireing after all are dead....

EC client - items with long names can't be seen properly on broker buy/sell gump.

also pirate ships not taking damage if your ship is bugged..
only way to fix a bugged ship is to cancel the quest and dry dock wasting all the time you spent sailing to the pirates and killing the crew.

No. It's there so you don't accidentally run off the ship if you're running around. Or so I've always thought that was the reason. I have always been thankful for having to walk off for it to work as it's very easily to run onto the plank by mistake, especially in the original boats which don't have a lot of moving room.

Isn't the the purpose of having a plank? You can't accidentally run off if it's closed so it seems redundant.


Let's add:

Closed random solen hole debris that block placement.

Houses placed next to properly placed houses causing them to become improperly placed.

Make that cannot disembark legacy boats period, unless the gangplank is at least one tile away from the dock. I've been around and around about this with the GM and support people, nobody would come to look, just assuming (you know--ass u me). I parked my boat between the docks in haven, next to one. I can open the gangplank, walk onto the boat, but cannot turn around and walk off. If I open the seaside plank, I can walk off it into the water, only I end up on the opposite dock about 4 tiles away.

It's a bug, but the GM would not even come to verify it. I finally gave up and just dry docked my legacy boats. Happens on both small and large dragons. My friend came and tried it with the same results. Neither of us have always run checked. I've been playing this game for over 10 years, so it's not a case of not knowing how the thing is supposed to work.

Why is there no mood button for Frustrated? LOL

JUST noticed:

The Nu-Jelom gates do NOT include Ter Mur in their list of destinations, both facets.

Amusing more than annoying.

Every time i jump on my high seas boat and do some fishing the default rune to my fel castle sends me to the exact spot in tram.

Damn annoying as if i recall straight from there to my fel castle manually i end up with the trammel castle and my castle trying to mate with each other...

Do you better on the EC boating. Besides the every other hour crashing the game (always fun around water eli spawns). I journey off my boat in EC I sometimes end up on a teleporter in the accounts house. Or the doorsteps of my keep when recalling to the docks. The funny thing is none the runes pre High Seas marked for docks will work.

Tried a couple of establishments and a couple of different NPC's but if you try to buy the pitcher of water they drink it and give you an empty pitcher!

Talk about lousy service lol, no tip for you

Such a minor bug doubt it will be fixed soon so be aware

Quiver of Infinity STILL disappears from your pack after you alter it! A very expensive bug!

High Seas Bug (2D Client):

When breaking up a larger stack of heavy powder charges into smaller piles, the weight of the powder charges on the cursor seems to become the number of charges you have typed in multiplied by the entire weight of the stack.

For example: if I have a stack of 100 heavy powder charges and it weighs 100 stones (1 stone each), and then I click and drag 90 off that 100 stack, my weight counter instantly jumps by 900 stones (90 x 100 stones / 10) where it should only be 90 stones. So as long as I click and drag from a pile, it's impossible to drag any powder charges into my backpack, unless I drop it on the ground or within the container again first.

I hope that explanation makes sense. I've tested this over and over and it's consistent.

The same is true for light powder charges.

i am getting something similar to this in the EC, when you deed up some charges and then undeed them in the ship the weight is 10x it should be..

so 100 charges is 1000 stones. breaking up the stack doesnt fix this.
taking 50 off the pile you will then have 500 stones each..
also breaking just 1 off it will weight 100 stones..

only way i find the fix this is to redeed them and try again..

Something i have just noticed while making Void Orbs. In the menu it says i have 100% chance to make yet i keep failing and losing black pearl. Does 100% chance mean something else in uo?

The error on the void orbs is because it is only showing you the success % for tinkering but it takes tinkering and magery to make them. You need more the min magery to not fail on void orbs but the menu don't show you. I wish they would fix altering the quivers of infinity for gargoyles every time I alter one it vanishes.

Raising tracking on one of my characters - getting gains, but no tracking arrow.

Finally, I tried logging in using the Classic Client and in CC when I track, an actual tracking arrow pops up when I succeed! *gasp*

*Very* broken in EC.

Slight issue with the last patch - you not only get ophidian loyalty from killing terathans, you also get it from killing the void creatures Anlorlem, which uses a re-hued terathan frame (and is also damaged more by terathan slayer weapons).

Of itself, not a big deal - but if loyalty is to become an important mechanic, and determine that some type of creature attack you or not, it may be worth considering how the system handles 're-hued' monster frames.

It's been mentioned before in older threads but Stone Form's benefits needs to be looked at again. In Publish 60, it was stated that:

Stone Form: Infuses the Caster with the essence of solid stone, giving a bonus to physical attacks and damage resistance, but reducing the Caster's movement, spell casting, and attack speed. The Stone Form may neutralize poison, strangle, bleed, sleep, paralysis, and stat reduction effects.

Although bleed attack is resisted in PvP when in stoneform, players cannot resist bleed from monsters (i.e. greater dragons and cu sidhe). Same is true in wraith form as well.

Also, noted in the pub 60, immunity to paralysis doesn't work even if you are 120 mystic / 120 focus. This is true in both PvP and PvM.

a few bugs that bite me repeatedly


1. Almost every time I pull my ship out of drydock I STILL need to remark runes as my old ones dont work

2. ship tracking does not work unless the owner of my ship is logged in. (all my alt's are set as captain, but they can't sucessfully track unless the character who is owner is logged in)

3. going on a boat, in a dungeon, or near a server line makes my night sight turn of completely on elven characters, it can be temporarily fixed by casting night sight on myself or chugging a night sight potion, but my character doesnt get his racial ability back until the next time I die and res. Same happens on characters I have using night sight items, but to fix them i need to remove and drop my night sight armor piece back on.

4. While online, my screen shrinks while playing, almost always starting whie inside a keep or castle, till it's completely unplayable, but relogging fixes it. (Thread on it with screenshots here http://vboards.stratics.com/uhall/243867-since-last-patch-world-seems-bit-smaller.html ) I did find instead of relogging I can bind a key to "increaseupdaterange" and that fixes it as well, but why does my update range decrease while playing?

Parasitic Potions kegs are tagged as "A Keg of Deadly Poison Potions" instead of being called Parasitic potions.

About a week ago I filled one whole keg with parasitic potion and saw the keg was named Deadly Poison. Today, I emptied a few bottles out of this keg, refilled the keg with the bottles but the name continues to show as Deadly vs. Parasitic.

After that test, and to be sure this is a bug, I mixed up five bottles of parasitic potions and began filling a new keg with them. This new keg is also tagged as Deadly Poison Potions.

Corgul maps.. So far we have gone through 7 of these dissapearing as soon as the person recalls or goes through a server line.

While partied with a bard who has provoked two monsters on each other, enemy of one duration goes down to around 12 seconds from 200+ seconds after the first hit. It seems that provoking monsters on each other changes the duration because EOO thinks they are pets. Fighting the same kind of monster solo the duration does not change. I don't know if this was intended or not but it is fairly anoying, this did not occur previouos to the 71 publish.

Been a bug since they introduced Gargish Lances. You cannot toggle the dismount special move on these while flying.

Tailsman of the Fey Cu Sidhe Form looks like it is broken now, it no longer auto heals you with bandies. I tried it on 2 diff ninjas both with bandies in their pack and one had healing skill and the other didn't.

Player crafted exceptional jewelry has diff imbue success % then non exceptional jewelry at same imbue weights. At 1 imbue weight(luck 1) the at my home soul forge exceptional jewelry has a 323% success, non exceptional jewelry is 298.2%. The diff gets smaller as the imbue weight goes up but it was still 2% less at 499 imbue weight.

Flying Gargoyle Bug?

Gargoyle can play as a state landing in spite of while flying by equipping "Barreraak's Old Beat Up Ring".
Isn't this a bug?
If it's a bug, is not the play method corrected?

was doing pirate quests in a party of 3 and i the party leader and the one that actually used the rope to bind the pirate didnt get any reward like 3 times in a row..

it was my dragon that was being used to kill the pirate as well as my ship..

the other 2 people got the reward and gold every time..

Trammel house runes show MegaCliloc error, but work fine still

it would also appear that the tokuno house runes now got the color that trammel house runes suppose to have.
