Black cats

Anyone making black cats this year? I made my cat and am now trying to get a name approved for it. It amazes me how simple and cute names get rejected but really crude names get accepted. Don't know when I will have time to play it as I already have two black cats but I can't resist! Anyone else making one?

I thought you couldn only make them on Halloween.

You can make them up til the part where you talk to Flippy. I make mine then name it. I go to the toontorial then alt out. Well, I just close my window. The next time I log on TT I see my toons and it tells me the name has been accepted or rejected. If rejected, just click on it to try to name it again. Keep doing this til your name is accepted. Leave it alone until Halloween. On Halloween you log onto that toon and finish the toontorial. When you get to Flippy and he asks you to say something on speedchat you say Toontastic! and you turn black. I make mine ahead for two reasons. I like to have it named what I want and also I can buy stuff for it while it sits there. When I go on my other toons it is there for gifting. By the time Halloween comes along my cat has a lot of goodies like phrases, emotes, and clothes.

i didnt know you could make them ahead of time either!! Wow!! I will do that too. I am planning on making quite a few, most on free accounts so I can "live" with the names a while before deciding. I will transfer my fav to one of my accounts. Thanks for the info!

Wolfie had a plan to make a Black Cat clan with the McWolf themed name. I was going to participate in that, so it's good to know I can plan ahead and try out the names...

Can you only "turn them black" on Halloween? I thought I heard you could make black cats the whole month of October. That would really stink if you cant get on that one day!! Guess I have to check the calender and see when it falls!! How did people find out about this anyway? I dont remember anything last year about making black cats. Just the clothes, phrases, and bloodsucker invasion. I had wrongly assumed you could make them all the time. I didnt really pay attention though because I didnt want a black cat until recently!

They do announce it in the messages in the launcher/on the website. We will have it in our news when it happens. And yes, you can ONLY turn them black on Halloween. I made my McBoo about two weeks early, fought with the name people a couple times and finally went with Trish McBoo. lol By the time Halloween came, she had all the emotes, a few key phrases, all the halloween, tie dye and daisy clothes.

They can only turn black on Halloween. I think Disney had something on their TT website last year about how to do it and what to say.

One more question (for now at least!!) about the black cats. Does anyone know if you can turn cats on a free account black? I just spent some time making 4 cats (all McWolf) on free accounts and then thought about this. I have some other names I would like to try but wont bother if I cant change them black. And just to clarify, I can go thru the tutorial up til the time he makes me use the speed chat, right? I can kill the flunkys and all that? That will certainly save time on Halloween if I get them to that point. I will just X out when he tells me to use it. Ok, that was 2 questions!!

I think unless you go through the whole toontorial you will still have to do it all again. I alted out once after defeating the flunky but before Flippy. When I logged back on I still had to go through it all again. I now alt out before the flunky. I read on another board that you can make black cats on a free account though I've never done it.

Your right. I just tried it and logged off just before I got to Flippy then logged back on. I had to start from the biginning. It didnt take long so no big deal. The disappointing thing is 3 out of the 4 names I chose were rejected! What in the world could possibly be wrong with Willow, Charisma, or Drusilla??? They accepted Agatha. I got a couple of the names from "Buffy" because they sounded kinda Halloweenish. You can make an Aragorn, Legolas, or Gollum but not Willow??????? Willow is a tree!! I dont get it. Maybe if I added "Ducken" it would have been approved.

LOL! Ducken Willow! I have played a lot with the names. Simple ones are rejected but really crude ones get accepted. I did it just for fun to see how raunchy I could get the name and was surprised what is allowed to go through. I'd be embarrassed by some of the names I've gotten approved in the last couple of weeks. I still have yet to think of a good name yet. I've never liked my first black cat name Feline Fine so want to think up something better. I do have my black cat Sushi but want something really original.

It might be that some don't know. When I named my cat last year Feline Fine I thought I was quite original. I was really proud of myself for thinking up such a name! That same day I met another black cat named Feline Groovy which I thought was neat. One day while standing on the steps in Law HQ preparing to go in for my first CJ with her I looked over towards the DA steps. Standing there was a pink cat 128 laff named Feline Fine! I couldn't believe it. I was so disappointed that I had taken a name someone else had. I don't even like my black cat anymore. LOL! I have debated over and over whether to delete her. I still might. She hasn't maxed any suits yet. So I am sure there are many out there that think they have found the greatest and most original name in TT only to run into someone with the exact same name. LOL!

Yeah Josh and Netflix too!!! I NEVER would have tried "Buffy" unless you had kept on me about it. Now we have a struggle to figure out who gets the next one. My son is watching the Stargate series. You have me hooked!! I like watching them while I play late at night. When I dont have a disc, it is like I dont have the internet!!! Of course I liked the crazy one.......you drove me to it!! You would have been profoundly disappointed if I hadnt gone for the crazy one. All that hard work and all!! (Oh and by the way, my 2 oldest run around the house singing part of a Systen of a Down song since that "incident"!! You still scare me!!) I still can't figure out why they wouldnt accept those names. It really makes NO sense. I will try again. If you go with those names, I will have to look for "What's that smell" again. But you can do better.....I have a few ideas I will share with you!! LOL


Squaker: I am assuming it would have to be from a toon on that same account. All the toons on the account are on the list of every other toon on that account automatically.

I have to say that I thought about the same thing!! I was gonna gift the toons on the free accounts so they would be ready too until I realized they couldnt make friends yet!! That is when I realized the same account thing. I will try again to make my toons and make at least one on an existing account so I can do it too!!

I'd like to hear your name suggestions. I just got Fleas McWolf and Fuzzy McWolf approved. I'm trying to stay within Woflie's request that the names are dog/wolf related. Though fuzzy is pretty boring. The gas related names were rejected even before I submitted them. I'm tempted to try Sofa King McWolf just to test Disney's people (say the first two words together to get it).

Maybe because Willow was the name of a movie and the title character in the movie? Maybe Disney has the rights to that movie in some way..... If you tried Willow McWolf would that be accepted?

I did try Willow McWolf and that is what they rejected. I really want it!!!! I will keep trying. Do you start completely over or do you just click the choose a new name button? I did it both ways and all three times was rejected. I tried it on the paid account and the free. Joe said that maybe it was because of the movie.....I had never heard of the movie!! I tried to say Sofa King to a sf and it wouldn't even show up in my chat. LOL! Apparently it has been banned in all forms from TT. I imagine the Sofa King clan was responsible for that. LOL!

Actually, Joe - the word you are looking for is HACKLES - shackles are chains around the wrists or ankes.

Any suggestions for how long to wait before resubmitting a name? Immediately, a day or two? Do you have better luck if you delete the toon and start completely over or do you click the button to choose a different name? Man I really want those names!!! I'm glad I started trying early!! I would just keep resubmitting til I got it. I wouldn't wait. Eventually you might get someone that doesn't see a problem with it.

I had to submit Ethereal Box twice. It got rejected the first time, and I resubmitted the name on the same day. It got approved shortly thereafter. However, that may not be the case for all names.

Can't believe it! I made a black cat but named it something that should have been rejected. I purposely named it Willow since everyone said it would be rejected. I just wanted it to be rejected so I could buy stuff for it and still think of a name. I submit it and go and by all this stuff for it. I go on 15 minutes later and the name is approved!! She has all the emotes, some cute clothes, and doodle tricks. Now I have to delete her as I didn't want a Willow! I guess I will have to make it something crude in order for it to be rejected for sure.

Perhaps Shi Ted. Maybe that will be rejected! LOL! Ok that was rejected right away. I did submit Duck You. It is under submission! I am waiting to see if it rejects before buying her stuff again.

No matter how I spelled it or how many times I tried, McWolf's Shadow would not get approved. So now I have two soon to be black cats and some broke catalog toons that need to go fishing. I'd like to decide which one to play and spend the beans on. Preferences please!!!
