I have been fairly excited after reading about the bard mastery changes that were incoming. Now that they are here, I have to say that I've got a few complaints.

First of all, I laughed at the people on the UHall boards who were fussing about how 'lame' the quests were. After spending well over an HOUR last night trying to find 5 rabbits and 5 DIFFERENT wandering healers, I have to say I'm sorry to all those UHallers I silently mocked.

That has got to be the most ridiculous exercise in futility I have ever encountered. Luckily, one of my Officers found a place where a rabbit would respawn over and over, and eventually we found enough wandering healers around so that I could finish the quest, but oh-- how painful.

I sort of felt like, if I had to have this certain high level of skill in order to 'master' my art, perhaps I could do something a little more challenging than provoke rabbits onto wandering healers...

The songs themselves are mana sucks, of course-- but I'm excited to try them in battle.

Thoughts?

The songs seem pretty sweet, though the upkeep cost is killer. The quests were uninspired, worse-than-ordinary.

After an annoying couple minutes trying to find a rabbit near a healer I tried taming a rabbit and bringing it to the healer. I did that and released it to provoke it and got quest credit. Did that a couple more times and finished up with a rabbit purchased from a stable.

1st wild rabbit done as expected, 3 tamed, and 1 purchased. Maybe it's cheating but I spent less than 20 minutes on it vice the much longer I hear it took some people.

Nice. My friend had tamed me a couple but I accidently killed them...Awesome. I didn't even know one could purchase rabbits at the stable. Nice to know.
