i was wondering how u make these so they dont do tons of damge ?

you need to have the min carpentry/tinkering to have the min damage It may just be tinkering i think its 30.1 or close to that

ok so i make the crates with that tinkering etc
how do i get the trap to go off when i try open it?
ive tryied locking it but it doesnt work =-/

They work when they are unlocked and you open them.

No clue. Last time I worried about breaking para you could trap leather pouches and they only did a little damage. Sorry

you could use a talisman

just keep in mind the higher you take the skill the more damage!

talisman dosnt effect the damage it puts out.

that goes off of real skill.

thats what I do i use tali if you take the skill itself up you just add damage

When you make the box make the trap with your low level tinker and set the trap on the box. then lock the box with the key and set the box on the ground and use magic unlock on the box this will unlock the box but not disarm the trap. then put the box in you pouch it needs to be setting east west in your pack ( i think) try that. Its been a while since I've made any but thats what I remeber hope it helps and works

1) Is this method still works?
2) if I'll cast magic trap on a pouch (container) with 30 magery, would this trap give me less damage? When I magic trapped pouch with 115 magery it's deal to me 30-50 damage.

I think something was in a patch recently that might have altered them somehow, but I can't say for sure without looking (And it being 6 PM and I still haven't had breakfast, I'm a little too hungry to go looking at the moment).

GM Carpenter
30 Tinkering
Tinker Talisman
Wood
Ingots
Crossbow Bolts

Craft a crate.
Open it and remove the key.
Add a Dart Trap to it. It may take a few tries.
Lock the box.
Lock on floor long side facing North-South.
Turn once with an Interior Decorator tool.
Cast mage spell Unlock on the box.
Release.
Place in pack long side facing West-East.
Double click to test.
