i personally think they could easily add stuff throughout the event... seems to me in magincia the deamon blood was added fairly easily... little things would make people happy.

*puts pom poms down*

I gotta agree with the theme of this thread. To keep the game fresh and exciting for people you have to keep the updates coming.
An "event" is something that occurs in a certain place during a particular interval of time, and after a month that "interval of time" becomes less "eventful" and more "tedious".
I realize we are short-staffed in the dev department. Even the smallest of changes would shut "us" up I think.
Test shard next week. Origin at the end of the week and over the weekend. The rest of the world... 11-14 days away?

[/ QUOTE ]

what ever happend to stuff being on origin shard for a week before being published to normal shards ?

Someone should go play candyland.

As for on topic, doesn't feel fun anymore when an event starts feeling like a chore.

[/ QUOTE ] Then go do something else in the game. Have you gotten a full virtue suit yet? How your crafting coming along? Do you do any type of role playing? How about some champ spawns or maybe a t-map or two?

I think certain people just enjoying complaining as if it is going to do any good, they will throw up the publish when they deem ready, not one minute before and certainly not any quicker if people cry about it... deal with it or quit, you always have that option!

We're on an approximately four-week publish cycle, which is just about as fast as we can get content out without having to publish twice to fix everything that was broken the first time. I don't want to disappoint you, but it's better that you have reasonable expectations about how fast the events will come out.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, this doesnt make any sense , 4 weeks to make a 1-2 hour event...

From your perspective, no wonder you think SA has been canceled LOL

Do you really think they spent 4 weeks working on this event? This event is just back story for the upcoming release of SA (which I'm sure they are working on much more than these events).

Let's see... I pay RL money for UO to do the following:

Champ Spawns
Peerless
Roleplay Events
PvP Tournaments
Factions
Occasional EA Event
Fun Quests
Random PvM
Silly Player-Run events
House Design
Runic Crafting
Building Suits

I'm getting my money's worth. But I can see, Wolfie, if -all- you have done for the past while is the Moonglow event, where you would be disappointed. So then, in my infinite wisdom, I suggest branching out, and trying all the other things Ultima Online has to offer. Then you will get your money's worth.

If, however, you do not get your money's worth through that, yet continue to pay AND complain, then you are only being silly. Just cancel!

and some people have had 7,8,9, years to do all that

And some of us have had ten years to do all that and still manage to entertain ourselves.

Geez people, what would you have done in the early days before Seers or EMs or any events at all?

The only thing that worries me about this part of the event being ongoing for four weeks is what it means for turn-in ratios. Because we've had four weeks to, really, do nothing more than collect items, are they going to set the bar "as low" as five or ten items?

I was there for the first two nights, got one of each item as they became available, picked up a few others, and since then I've only gone into the Dark Moonglow to check if anything's different. All in all, I think I have ten swords/shields combined, two cloaks, and six threads.

If the turn-in goes live, and the players are told, "Well, you had a month to collect things, so it's going to take ten cloaks/ten threads/"and so on, I'm going to be a bit miffed.

I'd sleep easier not necessarily having the full scoop, but just something like "the players who haven't collected more than a handful of items will still be able to get some sort of reward."

(And yes, I do expect a reward in this instance, since unlike any of the other invasions there's no actual impetus for us to be killing anything in Moonglow aside from maybe the ethereal shadowlords. I mean, the NPCs are telling us that Dark Moonglow doesn't even exist and isn't a threat! So, it's hard to picture any motivation that isn't "kill, be rewarded" right now.)

LOL, this thread is hilarious.

Is this why you created it? Looking for the attention or drama? Seriously, if you have enough time to read threw 4 pages of complaints and so on and not find it boring then you can live threw another week of moonglow!
