A few ideas for the devs

Hello, just figured this is where i would post something, and maybe devs see it and can patch my idea.

I frequent the twisted weald a far amount. And yet when I get calmed by the Dryad's, i am unable to cast. Which is fine, but why does a calmed icon with time and descriptor not show in my current effects bar? It seems all other positive and negative effects show up there, from bless to curse, necro curses (mind rot etc), yet not for being calmed. I dont see this being a difficult addition. Since the effect is placed apon you, it would simply be a graphic, and a call to place the graphic in the effects bar, and the timer to be shown, which is already being calculated.

Good idea? Bad?

Also, I think that in the near future, the SA ingredients should spill over into other dungeons. I know the new lands are exciting for people to hunt in, but its leaving the old lands bare, and unused. We need to get resources to spawn in them aswell as to spread out the population, and have people enjoy the classic dungeons again.

Good idea? Bad?

I believe they did say something about revamping the old dungeons and adding additional content for the. To lazy at this time to look back through the many posts.

Yeah they did mention revamping. However everyone is really into Imbuing. So unless it gives resources, or some OP item, most will still hunt in the new lands, to ensure resources for imbuing, and still get good gold and items.

Much like back in the day everyone was at WBB. Now luna is the players choice. Mostly because it offers the important things all in a close area. Gate, bank, tailor/smith for bods, and a stable.

I just dont see the old lands used much, and its a shame. When is the last time someone went down to the bottom of deciet to fight the LL? or the bottom of covetus to fight drags (even though they are not spawning right now, and that event drag is there still!!!)

I think if the resources do not migrate to other lands, that they will not be used except for spawns, and any peerless. Which is a shame.

If you are wondering, 'all kill' for pets works even under dryad spell.

This means you could, if you didn't mind the karma hit on your reputation, kill them off (albeit slowly if the Dryad peaces it) with a Greater Dragon or other high-level pet. Personally, I think there should be an effective craftable countermeasure to the Dryad's area peace effect.

Bard skills like provoke might also work however I have not tested this personally.

Another means of getting around Dryads in Twisted Weald is that you could carry a large amount of Greater Explosion potions with you and hurl them at the Dryads, although this would be subject to the same negative karma effects plus you'd eventually run out of potions.

I'm not sure if "Hit Area Effect" weapons would fire off, I think the Dryad peacing effect stops aggressive actions like double-clicking to initiate an attack.

You can also stealth around the sand area in Twisted Weald with little to no chance of revealment if your stealth is high enough.

I like the idea of seeing the "peace" and "disco" effects in the status bar. I wish consecrate weapon would also appear there, so it's clear when to re-cast.

Another good idea with consecrate weapon.

Im not trying to get past them, I have no issue with that, i just hate spamming spells to see when I can cast again. I think since its an effect on you, that perhaps you should see it in your stats bar. Perhaps all things should show, such as curse wep, and other spells. I think it would be easy to do, and a nice fairly simple upgrade.
