Instead of actually just testing it yourself.
And how could have I tested it on my own without knowing how the patching of the 2 clients had been designed, if I may ask ?
I mean, just starting the EC client would have showed me nothing unless I knew before hand that, in order to avoid the patching of the EC client, I had to put the EC client to a link with the 2D client folder and sub-folders where I just downloaded the largest patch.
But without knowing what files from 2D would EC need or how to link all of the pertaining folders and sub folders how could I have possibly avoided a second download for the EC client ?
I imagined that just starting the EC client would have triggered a second download, I just thought that perhaps, having already done the 2D larger download, there was a way to give to the EC client whatever files it needed from the already done download rather than having to do a second one........
But I had no clue how the patching had been planned and designed to happen and that is why I asked, perhaps someone better informed than me might have known and hinted to a way to avoid double download.
Nothing at all about being lazy, only time concerned to try avoid a second lengthy download, if possible.
