Cell phone hot spot ?!?Well crap I missed another anniversary gift! Hehe
I need to bring my computer to the family cabin and figure out an internet next year so I don't miss them. Oh wells!
A couple years ago, I tried playing from our vacation cabin in northern Minnesota utilizing the Hughes Net satellite (I think that was the name) and response time via that setup was so bad that all I could do was fill BODs and whatnot..............fighting anything more than a Ogre was fatal. The cabin is waay out and there isn't any cell signals at all.
We were talking about getting satellite internet up there then using a mini-cell from one of our cell phone providers. That would let me play UO and give us cell signal. ......I think? Hehe
I have travelled from Minnesota to Florida, including the Ozarks in Arkansas with extended family and never lost connection or ability to hotspot. ALL of the fam didn't have a single bar in the Ozarks.A couple years ago, I tried playing from our vacation cabin in northern Minnesota utilizing the Hughes Net satellite (I think that was the name) and response time via that setup was so bad that all I could do was fill BODs and whatnot..............fighting anything more than a Ogre was fatal.
I remember back in 2001 Had my AT&T my father had Verizon. we have land in PA some farm some wooded. He had to call mom one day he had to jump on the 4 wheeler and drive up the largest hill. when he came back 30 mins later he sees me talking on my phone and asked how many bars I had told him full STR. he had only 1 bar when he went up the hill. the next day I jumped on the 4 wheeler and went down into the woods my phone only went to 2 bars at the lowest,I have travelled from Minnesota to Florida, including the Ozarks in Arkansas with extended family and never lost connection or ability to hotspot. No, I don't work for Verizon but I DO like to be able to use data whenever/wherever I want.
