well for one i am fairly sure i read where she said she doesn't really play UO. that doesn't help.

Well we can only hope that EA eventually hires a new Community Rep. in the future or pray. Afterall isnt Joanne only filling in temporarely while they decide what to do? I hope they hire someone cause I agree we need more communication from our Rep then what we are getting. Replies a week or two about problems that people have been complaining about just dosent cut it. Uo has some serious problems and Im sure there are alot out there that would like alittle acknowledgement that they know of the problems and working on it would be nice along with a small update here and there. Im just hoping things improve after the holidays. Its just not the community rep thats gone silent other then Regine most the devs that use to drop in from time to time have been very quiet for the last two months just about. Expect for Regine of course out of all of them think she has been the only one weve heard the most from Recently.

Then they should fix that. And they should make it easier to find while they're at it.

It's also irrelevant. I didn't want the trial. I wanted to buy the game. But no. Can't do that! Am I living in some twilight zone where that somehow doesn't make sense?

Trial accounts are real accounts... they're just free for the first 14 days. You can use upgrade codes on them.

The New Account Code codes are for people who already play the game and want a second account that is fully upgraded, or for people who have friends who play that want to get them upgraded fast.
Somebody who is actually new to the game and doesn't have friends to help them out wouldn't have any reason to go into the ML areas for 30 days, They wouldn't have the gear or character skill to survive in them.

I wanted the product. I tried to buy it. I couldn't. After that, it became a mystery for me and many other would-be customers. (Must be 30 days old to buy a new account? What?). I was lucky, I knew about Markeedragon.com. Does everyone else? Of course not.

This method of publishing is extraordinarily confusing. EA/Mythic should offer an immediate point of purchase. Alternatively, they should at least mention somewhere that an immediate point of purchase isn't available, and that an upgraded trial account is the only way in for new customers.

"Buy Now" buttons are ubiquitous in digital publishing. Therefore, the absence of a "Buy Now" button on UO.com and related sites is confusing.

If anyone thinks my posts in recent threads have been too harsh or over-the-top (if you hadn't noticed, nevermind), please understand that I have gone the extra mile to notify EA and Mythic and the community of an issue that probably deserves some attention. In return, I have received several form letters and even a spoofed link from EA Support, complete silence from Mythic, and had my first report of the issue forwarded to the Spiels N Rants sub-forum. Sorry, it's not normally my style to crusade for an issue on the Internet. I'm new on the forums, and the last thing I wanted (or expected) was to impress myself on moderators as a rabble-rouser. But when you do something good and it gets spat back in your face, how do you feel?

I dont lag any more then I ever have. Was never affected by the "LAG" of yestermonth. We play on a single cell phone connection with up to four computers connected to the home network. Connection great..not. Playable..yes. My son does PvP and does well. Well, until sis decides to start downloading some new song, etc.

Perhaps Mr. Beer the lag is on your end? Your location? Your connection?

Perhaps MOVE. Play a different game??? Get a new ISP?

My god, if I spent this much time on a subject as you do I would quit.

Yes, I have been there (lag). Been playing almost from the start. Had mega number of accounts, down to four. My accounts are slowly being closed not because of lag, or lack of, just im ....bored.

At first when Mythic came into UO the community got a lot of info tossed at them alot of question answered. Past 6 months you guys have been acting like your on some secret project and we're only on the need to know when we need to. With all thats been goin on else where in the world, everyone has that sense of needing to feel secure about something. Rather it's security at a job, relationship or their own personal entertainment such as online gaming.

When the rest of the real world is looking gloom I wanna escape to UO to take a break but I want to know if UO is going to there for me. The unsecure feeling is already there from everything else thats going on in life, when I come to the websites and see no updates no fixes being added for days and weeks at a time I'm less likely to stay playing that game and with so many more options at the same cost now is not a time to leave any player left feeling unsecure about the future of UO.

I presumes that was for effect.
Since "fanboi" is derived from "fanboy", and has taken on a somewhat distinct meaning, at least aesthetically. "Fanboi" seems to imply a greater level of immersion into fan-ish behaviour.
Since there no female equivalent to the "boi" spelling, then for similar effect "boiette" works well enough, for a dramatic presentation.

Fine i will call them the name i didn't want to since Boi, originally came from the stronger accents not being able to pronounce it, and when people documented it the first time it appeared that way, and though they spoke different languages, although it was just the way it sounded... they wouldn't have used the term boiette they would have said something along the lines of Gurill or Gul but those are rather insulting to say to a lady, or girl. That is why FanBoi is still used since meh, but Fangirl is used because of human rights :\ i was just trying to be politically correct in the sense of how people nowadays use politically correct... but not the original sense oh heavens no...

Why can't we just have a straight answer , UO is second rate ,and will get little to no support, Sorry not your fault but we have been told the same things over and over again..I'll put money on it next week we will here EA Mythic say there won't be much news until after the holidays.. EA Mythic has a chance at gold in making UO great again and instead their letting the world EA killed fall farther..

agree there is huge possibilities with today's technologies, and with some people working as GMs for game specificly would really help,,, lets hope your bet is wrong and that they make UO into a thing of beauty. again

I think we need to bear in mind UO's age and the fact that it's 1.1% of the MMORPG marketshare before making..... unreasonable demands. :O

UO is on the way out. I don't really think anyone should realistically expect that it's ever going to double or triple its subscriptions in the future. And even if it did it would still have a small small fraction of the playerbase a game like WOW has.

What really was the "chance" for UO to fully update and capture a bigger marketshare and become a serious, present-day MMORPG again was UO:2, but EA scrapped the idea, so.... if that tells you anything about what their perogative is as far as future attempts to revitalize UO.
