Want better golf packages and such, try the smaller towns outside Vegas. With the economy in the state that its in youcan pick up an overnight stay In Laughlin or Mesquite for 99 bucks or less and that includes the room 1 round 18 holes of golf and a spa treatment for the old lady. It usually is only an hour drive to them and the air is much cleaner.
If you dont mind me askin what type of work do you do? Or do you come to Vegas for the conventions and trade shows?
I have work meetings and conventions there. Its an easy place to meet because when you are getting people together from around the world - everyone likes to visit Vegas and there are alot of cheap flights.

Better golf packages tho? Can you beat free? I have a co-worker who belongs to TPC and we entertain clients and write it off. Does it get any better? I rarely pay for anything when I go except for gambling. Hotel, golf, food, nightclubs is all paid.

TPC is a really nice track and close to Red Rock Casino and Spa.
For those who haven't been - Red Rock is a fabulous new casino and you don't have to deal with all the Pirates of Carribean crap on the strip. The rooms are very nicely done. The marble baths are a nice touch and you get a great view of the Vegas skyline from there. Also the steak joint (T-Bones) on-site is quite good. Plus is just a short drive to TPC (like 2 miles).

Unfortuneately my trip will be to the Rio tho. No choice on location.

Ok, I'm not trying to hijack the football thread with travel recommendations.

Where is Khalan to talk about how great Orton is as a QB?

Time for another update. I didn't expect NE to implode like they did - but happy about the Steelers win.

So far I'm batting 1.000 with my Bears prediction. Where is Kahlan who said the Bears would sweep the division in the safest bet ever? They have lost to GB and Minnesota now. Duh.

Prediction 10-6(correction - by schedule above 11-5) but some of those game could go either way (Giants/Indy/San Diego/Dallas/Tenn/Wash)
At this point I predicted the Steelers would be 9-3. Right now they are.... 9-3. Surprise surprise. I might have missed a few Steeler games that could have gone either way - but they evened out and are right on my schedule.

And Kahlan - still want Orton over Ben? Orten may have slightly better rating than Ben due to some untimely INT's but Ben is 9-3 to Orton's 6-4 record and again - Ben won the game today.

Of course I would still take Orton. Anyone who watched the game last night saw the ridiculous amount of dropped passes which were right on target. Too bad they cracked after they failed to score on the goal line. Oh well...the day they bench tillman is the day our secondary will look better than a Pee-wee crew :p

btw, just had to comment. Way to dig up an old post, lol.
Of course. I will dig this up again at the end of the season to compare my predictions.

I'm the only in this thread that had the balls to put my FULL season predictions up in WEEK 5.

You spouted off about the Bears, Orton, the weak NFC central, Bears sweeping the division etc.

I put my predictions on paper and so far for the Bears I have been SPOT ON. Every game correct. For the Steelers - I missed some games I knew would be close - but the end result is the same record as I predicted.

My Bears streak might come to an end as in Week 5 Jax over Chicago looked like a good call but as of late - Jax is terrible so we will see. I'll still stick with my original call and expect Jax to turn it around for one game. A Bears win next week would not be out of the question - but then a New Orleans win or GB win over the Bears is also a possiblity so Bears at 9-7 still looking reasonable.

Its too bad Teuful no longer seems to be taking bets on weekly predictions. I would have enjoyed talking all of your gold on a weekly basis.

And in regards to the dropped passes - I did not watch the Bears game but I did watch the Steelers and Ben had another TD and 4 passes right in the arms of his receivers and they dropped the slippery ball. He threw for 200 yds or so and 2 TD's in a complete downpour all game long. New England will be lucky to make the playoffs. They look weak.
