"I'm just going to ignore the whole thing about retaining stable slots when removing taming jewelry and pretend I didn't hear it, even though it came up in every single thread on the topic."This question generally seemed to come up as a thinly-veiled request for a tamer nerf, but there's an important point to be made here. Tamers can use skill jewelry to supplement their templates, but if they have a high-end pet and they take the jewelry off, they will have a lower chance of being able to successfully command it.
"We really want to make all items permanently decay, but we know you'll all quit if we actually make you lose your suits. Here, have another hapless and half-hearted durability nerf on new items."they will eventually wear out, since Powder of Fortification cannot be used on them (and Powder of Perseverance, the faction version, is more limited.)
"We've decided that everyone must be in factions, or they can go @#$% themselves.""Is the item that allows humans to wear elf armor faction-only?" Yes - only characters that are in factions will be able to use them.

and somehow I feel like we have not been told anything. But then again I'm bitter because I was hopeing for more from factions than buffed up items. I'll pout my way back to dread horn and wish I was involved in a halloween event being that it's only three weeks away.11 Questions answered that I counted, so everyone should be pleased with that much at least.
I agree. The upcoming faction boom will be motivated by acquiring items instead of controlling towns. Kinda of letting the tail wag the dog.I won't dispute that it was a good FoF overall... I do fell the need to bring this up...
The additions to Faction gear and now the elf/human gear cross ONLY available in Factions is a rediculous answer to a problem.
Factions isn't suffering because it doesn't have enough REWARDs. It is suffering because there is little or nothing of Interest to it.
Bribing players to participate in something they don't find fun without the bribery isn't a long term solution.
Awsome BUT! Will Holloween be lasting intill xmas again?Oh, there is - both Shadowlord-arc and Halloween content, actually.
As for the stable slot issue, I'll make sure QA looks into it. There won't be any changes to it in 56 though, certainly - that publish is FULL.![]()
When you do look into the stable slot issue please keep FIRMLY in mind soul stones. I have 120 vet tame lore all natural, I am now training bard and someday I will stone off all my taming skills knowing that all 14 of my little friends are safely in the stables. If stable slots depends on real skill I am fine with that but I don't want my darlings evicted because I stoned off my skills.Oh, there is - both Shadowlord-arc and Halloween content, actually.

Connor youll be glad to know as soon as the box came out i put in the suggestion for scrolls and jeremy said yes definately, no time frame but they are working on it. (i have like 500k scrolls throughout different banks so i feel your pain. lol)11 Questions answered that I counted, so everyone should be pleased with that much at least.
I'm glad to see bottles are being added to the list of commodity deedable items. I REALLY wish they'd add blank scrolls to that, if not spell scrolls themselves. I'm sure I'm not alone in having hundreds of many of the spells sitting in a neat, organized arrangement for quick spellbook filling. I got a ton of 7th and 8th circle spells off the DF that I hung onto, and those alone weigh 10k stones or more.
I'd also still like to see blackrock as a stackable item.
That's great! Thanks for letting me know.Connor youll be glad to know as soon as the box came out i put in the suggestion for scrolls and jeremy said yes definately, no time frame but they are working on it. (i have like 500k scrolls throughout different banks so i feel your pain. lol)
I'm confused regarding the colors of the new plants. White and black plants are mutations that you grow from white or black seeds produced by plants that were cross-pollinated with other plants. You don't get white and black seeds from the Naturalist quest. What you do get are seeds for fire red (blaze), aqua, magenta, or pink plants."What is the plan for fixing the naturalist quest?"
In 56, all of the new plants will be added to that quest, so you will have the chance to get them in blaze, black, or white colors. This should also fix the current issue where you only get the new cactus as a reward - it should randomize properly again.
I second that!!!!When you do look into the stable slot issue please keep FIRMLY in mind soul stones. That right there is the exploit. They should be looking at real skill for the amount of stable slots, and not the skill total with the +skill jewels on.or is it going to work as if you have pets in the daycare center and once you remove your jewlery they stay(slots stay the same) untill taken out then you can't put them back in till you put your jewlery back on.?.
Yup just hope if they change it they give a warning b4 the change so i can make arrangements lol. I have high real skills but i use a bit of + skill to get more slots lolThat right there is the exploit. They should be looking at real skill for the amount of stable slots, and not the skill total with the +skill jewels on.
Thank you.Oh, there is - both Shadowlord-arc and Halloween content, actually.
As I don't play a tamer much, I just don't see the problem with having extra stable space for pets. You can still only control so many slots at a time. I don't see necessarily see it as an exploit. Is it an exploit when my dexxer wears items that boost his strength by 15-20 points, which gives him greater ability to carry items? Because I often have a nearly full backpack it seems, I am really glad that the stuff doesn't just spill on the ground when I die and my stat increasers are not on my char. I also don't know how the change could be implemented with respect to existing overcapacity stables...would the developers boot a random pet, the last one stabled, the one stabled the longest without use? Just a few thoughts. That right there is the exploit. They should be looking at real skill for the amount of stable slots, and not the skill total with the +skill jewels on.
I'd reckon that the event part of it would.Awsome BUT! Will Holloween be lasting intill xmas again?
And what if your jewelled tamer dies with all pets in the stable?I second that!!!!
How would this work i mean if your wearing jewlery to boost your skills in taming or in lore then you take them off for a second does that mean you lose your pets? or is it going to work as if you have pets in the daycare center and once you remove your jewlery they stay(slots stay the same) untill taken out then you can't put them back in till you put your jewlery back on.?.
My real skill is 110 i can control every thing i boned with....My question is i use jewlery to boost my vet and some lore...if i took off the jewerly i would stand to lose maybe 2 slots...i would think that the pets would still be fine because they where placed in there while jewlery was on.... would i get back the spots if i put them back on? don't know... i really don't think UO DEVS would be so unkind as to just delete any creature that you have....And what if your jewelled tamer dies with all pets in the stable?
*snickers*My real skill is 110 i can control every thing i boned with....

Just a little bump to this question. Given that the Naturalist quest doesn't give out black/white seeds, was the FoF statement accurate?I'm confused regarding the colors of the new plants. You don't get white and black seeds from the Naturalist quest. What you do get are seeds for fire red (blaze), aqua, magenta, or pink plants.
Sakkara explained this in the Botany Forum. ONLY the new plants will be given out in black and white, and ONLY thru the (previous) Fire arm of the quest. It will be a 1/3 chance to get black, white, or fire - if black or white is rolled, it will be one of the new plants. If Fire is rolled it will be one of the old plants, or the new cactus (if I read her correctly!)Just a little bump to this question. Given that the Naturalist quest doesn't give out black/white seeds, was the FoF statement accurate?
That is SO not right."Is the item that allows humans to wear elf armor faction-only?" Yes - only characters that are in factions will be able to use them.
Logically? Try this one on for size, forever now hats and headgear don't show up on elves. Are their heads magical and their hair dissolves everything that touches it into a tiara? And why do elves skulls magically re-shape solid helmets such as plate and bone to look completely ******** and winged ? If I wear a damn plate helmet I expect it to look the same as it would on a human, not have to polymorph myself into a human just so I don't look like a clown with flat ugly hair graphics. That is SO not right.Weren't we told quite some time ago this was being looked at for EVERYONE? I'm tired of not being able to wear the Elven skirt and I'm sick of the human cheerleader skirt we've had for eons now. Logically humans and elves should not have interchangeable wardrobes, but it is beyond ridiculous your are making this a factions only feature. Give it to everyone.
