1. Allow only guard zone and house runes to be marked including moongates. Remove all other marks.

2. Make it so you can not recall out of Fel. To leave Feluccia you must use a town gate, you can't just jump from one facet to another using recall.

3. Increase the cost of insure in Feluccia only.

Also add random loot to the corpse of players, so there is something to loot.
Make this loot only available to players with looting rights. If they can not retrieve the loot, it poofs. Players will turn grey etc...

Put some gold, a percent of insure maybe. If it's a mage template add regs, if it's a war template drop armour or weapon, high quality loot, etc..

A system would have to be implemented so loot would only appear per person, per kill every 24 hours, making it so you have to kill different ppl to keep getting the generated loots.

This would bring back some of the old spark of having to loot the corpse to really gain.

4. Put ghost items on players, that when a thief peeks into your pack he can see it. A ghost item is an item that is not really there but can be seen by implementing a system that when a thief peeks into a player's pack it appears to them only, along with other items that are already in the player's pack. When the thief steals it, if he's successful, the item becomes real. The thief will turn grey, just as if he had taken something from you. These items must be appealing to a thief.

A system would have to be implemented so a thief could only steal a ghost item from the same char. every 24 hours. This way the thief would have to look for many targets rather than stealing from the same char.

5. Make all Feluccia spawns para, excluding dungeon spawn. Leave them looking natural. This way we get more gold, better loot and more fight. Keep their walk speed slow.

6. Add random spawns of bosses. It would be great to see Mel walk down the road in Feluccia. Allow all the drops the bosses would normally give except for raining gold. Bosses like dark father, miasma, rend, etc... The advantages to these spawns would be nobody would know where they are, giving ppl a better experience of hunting for these types of creatures.

7. Beef up the camps of npc reds. Make them more real. Like todays uber players. Put some good loot in the chests, possible arties, set piece, some real gold. Make it so it's worth doing.

8. Add some npc tamers with a greater dragon, random spawn.

9. Redo the crypts with ballies, lich lords and ancients and some new stealables.

10. Give us more ways to get PS. Put them in chests, on loot. Open Fel up to ppl who wish to hunt and not walk into greedy gank parties that just give UO a bad name.

If players do not have a chance to lose items, the only one's that will chase the thief are notos. You are also leaving out the fact that many times, items are stolen and the thief doesn't turn grey, so there is even less reason for a thief to "steal" these items.

Now if you made thes items become real after the steal, and a player could take it off the thief corpse if they are caught and killed, it might give players a chance to chase the thief. Problem I see with this scenario will be the people who work as teams to collect these items. Kinda like how reds used to have friends kill them, and then turn in their head to get the bounty...la

The item does become real as soon as the thief has it in his hands. As the thief peeks different ppl he will see different items on those ppl and can choose to take any one of those items just as if the player had that item on them.

I'm trying to bring brave hunters, pks, and thieves. I'm also trying to bring back what Fel used to be. When I started playing in Feluccia when an ettin hit you it did some damage and as that harpy approached from the East you had to calculate how much damage you would be taking in case a pk popped into the picture. All the while, hoping that thief that took from your brother just up North from where you are isn't around.

All of this is easily exploitable and should not be added.

If this was a poll I would check the NO button. Fel is fine the way it is. If you want to pvp then come to fel if not stay out. However they should not allow people to come to fel that only come to fel to get the double resources.

As someone who spends most of his time in fel, even on my blue characters...I'm for most of this.

NPC'S with Greater Dragons...LMFAO!!!! YES...I love it...and make them dismount tamers...

I like the idea of the recall restrictions, force some people to learn the map...you'd be surprised how many people couldn't navigate their way, with or without use of UOAM.

The loot stuff...meh, usually during huge battles there's little time to loot. I don't see people searching through the 90% of junk that loot usually is.

And I have a policy of item return, no matter who it is...even with bug fixes, sometimes, myself included screw up when it comes to insurance. That item thing would really mess with that.

I'm all for beefed up monsters randomly walking the land and dungeons. The stuff worth fighting shouldn't be restricted to just the bosses. However leave the bosses where they are...it waters them down to have them walking about randomly.

Ilsh should have some purpose...leave paragons there.

And yeah...drop the Power Scroll thing....they belong on the spawn champs. I hate to clue a few of you people in...but power scrolls, as they are...are exceedingly easy to get. If you really need them...figure out a damn way to go and get them and stop crying.

I'm all for making fel tougher. After occasionally reading these boards, it's clear some people just dont want to experience something new. So lets give something to the people that do, where they want it.

I think it's a good idea. The trammies can have their nay-says all day long. Felucca used to be great. Champ spawns is not Felucca.

I might be a tad bit presumptuous, but I think most people already know the map quite well if they play in fel. The recall restriction idea is lame, this idea is in reference to production shards, and therefore these shards are not siege.


As for the insurance proposal, raising the costs are not the way to help anything. There are a lot of players that simply do not have 100's of millions of gold, let alone even a couple mil. A good idea that I keep bringing up would be to simply limit the amount if items you can insure to what you can fit on your paper doll. I think that would be around 10-13 or so. After all, I see people running around with like 20 + insured items alone in their bag.

Enough with the Insurance Proposals. There is nothing wrong with having an insured suit. Why do you think we need less items insured? What will that accomplish? Absolutely nothing.

It's that player's choice to carry around so many Insures. They're the ones paying 20k+ when they die, and you get half if you killed them. Sounds balanced to me.

I like Champ Spawns. Only reasons left to fight in Felucca imo. Sorry you don't feel that way.

What would we do there if Champ spawns didn't exist in Fel?

Personally, I hate the Yew gate scene that 90% of Tram players think is Felucca.

After reading the first three on the list I was unsure of the way to post a response...to be serious or to LMAO.

Regardless,

1) fail...(see#2)
2) fail...(I support Felucca, but what about crafters?)
3) fail...(risk vs. reward. More risk in Fel...reward is halved insurance)
4) fail...(ghost items? makes me think of air biscuits)
5) fail...(WTF??? So you want more loot for less work by making monsters unable to move?)
insert: this idea deserves padded helmet of the weekend reward.
6) fail...designated spawn areas in Felucca promote the PvP aspect of the game even around PvM situations
7) fail...NPC reds are a good training stepping stone and gold drop. If you want high end red critters there are plenty of places to find them in Fel.
8. fail...all kill plus 6/12 casting makes Restroom Cowboy a dull boy.
9) fail...add spawn perhaps...CHANGE spawn no...this game has a history ya know :p
10) epic fail...if you want PS do spawns...

Where are the good ideas btw?

Wow, stratics posters are super nice. when will you all start being constructive. I mean damn colter. if you dont like an idea see how to make it better. making fel more populated and worth it isnt easy, and take multiple possitive thinkers. not one dude thinking and 8 people chiming in "fail".

anywho, ive always liked the idea if making fel unrecallable, guard protecting a low, mid, and high level dungeon, and 70% of the roads leaving ambush points.

overall tho, even if no changes were made. a higher UO playerbase will in turn bring more population to fel. so theres atleast one thing we know will work.

Changing the rules in Felucca will not bring more people in or make it more popular. PvP is a niche group that continues to get SMALLER due to a lack of updated content in the game. The only way to get more people here is through active participation by EA/Mythic to provide new content and get the next expansion out on the SHELF.

Perhaps you, or someone else can inform us just what exactly Fel is then...

And don't say gate fighting, I shouldn't have to say why...(but just in case)...that's about as close to the consensual pvp crap that has been spoken of before.

Nix double resource stuff too...cause that is just glorified pvm.

What's left...Factions?...

Yes, there is a small percentage of people who engage in it...and like Seige it is too few...probably for a reason...do the majority of us care? No.

Some of those ideas are not half bad. People need to open up Fel SUCKS at the moment. Any change might help. Except for my thief. He still likes fel.

There's alot of things that people argue about. I think if we understand a player would like some kind of change and it is constantly argued then it should be implemented in a tactful way so that it doesn't affect the nay sayer but at the same time allows said player what they want. For example, power scroll. These are types of rewards or goals that give a player a reason to try to accomplish a task. If they do not have reason to do something they simply will not do it.

In Felucca, it has been my experience, when you do a champ spawn, right when your about to fight the boss people come in, kill your party and take your champion away. They use advantages that would not normally be there. For example, they know where you are going to be. With roaming bosses this advantage would be taken away.

Forcing people to use a gate to leave Felucca gives them more of a challenge to get out alive and with their rewards. Giving smaller groups an opportunity to give them a taste of their own medicine.

Higher insurance isn't something that i'm really serious about but it shows the example of making a decision more important to the player. For example, in old Fel before Trammel you would not go up to a red player and kill him simply because he was red. They would make a better friend than enemy. So, you lost something by killing somone else. Just as reds took chances of killing you. They knew you might come looking for them. Now there doesn't seem to be much to think about, except for how much gold you have in your bank.

PvP could be done anywhere but when you add bosses that carry items that everyone desires it gives people reason to PvP. It also makes it so they have to move and search, rather then just camping out an area and waiting for the weaker to achieve their goals so they can steal it from them, which I think would make more of a challenging environment because the boss could be slayed quicker and the reward could be obtained before anyone even knows what's going on. There would still be the chance of someone trying to attack you. This is a more real setting.

The reason the monsters would move slower is because you have alot going on. You have the PK, you have the boss, and then you have the paragon spawns. So, to have these things running at futile speeds would not make any sense. They could be beefed up and tweaked so that when an ettin hits you, it takes 75 points and has 500 hit points. Since the change of armour and stats, I just look at ettins and they die. I don't think my sword moves.

I just don't see the point in going to Fel to just PvP. I need reason to challenge someone.

I don't see any reason why I should go do a champ spawn if there's a possibility that 50 people are going to be hiding behind a tree.

I'm not going to go to Fel to go mining just because of double ore. Although I have, I really don't see how killing miners makes Fel that much better or honorable.

I'm really not sure what else there is to do in Fel currently besides Factions. This is something I think could be worked on so that factions do more together like guilds but that's another thread.
