one of my kids was playing and came across one of the chests that had already been plundered, she looked in it and there was a tombstone just sitting there.
she plucked it up and carried on.
no stealing required.
strange that the thief who cleaned out the chest left that behind.

It's hard enough finding the chests, but I finally got another tombstone (Only my second) and the second I untrapped it, someone in wraith form came up and took it. Hopefully that wasn't your kid! Now there are people just waiting for others to find and unlock/untrap chests so they can steal from it.

I think the chests should not be accessible to anyone other than the one that found and picked it.

I found and opened 30 chests in Skara last night and not one unique item, so when I DO find one and someone else just swoops in and steals it...doesn't seem like it should be that way.

Well I posted it here but it's really nothing against her but the direction the game is going what's next ?new item in uo store spawn protection totems that make you invulnerable to attack from other players while at an active spawn? You of all people asking for easy button uo?

Are chests just in the towns that is being invaded at that time or any town that can be invaded?

How is drop rate looking?

To me the drop rate isn't very good but it could be due to the towns I've played. In the 75min I played, I got 20 or so drops and that was from non stop running around killing everything I could. They will need to drastically increase the spawn rate on ATL because I'm running multiple screens and only getting 1 or 2 things pop up and half of them are in a building so it's quickly becoming a chore in my limited testing.

Someone said that luck pieces will NOT help your drop rate?? Anyone else confirm that?

I use GM Lockpick skill but use Magery to remove traps. I would remove snooping unless you plan on using thief in Fel to steal from other players.

My thief has snooping, but it's not used for this event. It is used passively when stealing from zealots in Exodus. If you don't have it, you only get gold from them and not the special items.
I'm sorry, I don't know whether you can unlock with magery. I've never tried, my thief has GM Lockpick.

I need detect hidden to be 100?

You need min. 80 detect hidden to get the message. It works similar to finding the VvV sigils, which also require at least 80 skill points.

Has anyone tried to snoop the necromage boss? I fought one yesterday and saw he had a few items in his pack (couldn't successfully snoop him though).
