Got all 3 dark ones last night on Atlantic no theifs around
I didn't have any problems either with any account on Atl server or other servers.
I wasn't so much complaining about going to Fel more than trying to understand why she subjected players that dislike Fel to discomfort/griefing and also wondering where Armstrong's head is at - and I won't say what I want to say but I bet she can see what she had for dinner - that is, if she can move the other people's heads and noses that can see what she had for dinner, out of her way.
I don't mind going to Fel, I still pvp some and have houses in Fel but do most pvp in other games because those games have detection for cheats which evens the score pretty much across the field and they have actual rewards for pvp.
I remember before they nerfed greater explosion potions, I would get my thief out and I would pack about 30-40 of them loose in my pack (loose, in case other thieves stole one or two, they wouldn't get a whole stack) and then go out and find some pvper's and let them track me, get as many as possible, as close as possible and then dbl click one of the potions, which would trigger a chain reaction with all the other potions and wait for the carnage. Good times! Blood, guts, body parts and dead mounts everywhere, looked like Hamburger Hill but in UO. The lag would be horrible, the screen would freeze for several seconds on a 14.4 modem but it was always so much fun and so well worth the lag to see most of the mob standing around as ghosts.
Maybe this still works to an extent? It could possibly work with any other Fel events in the future. I may have to try that in a few minutes and see if it is still as fun and powerful enough to kill a player or two. You can test this by getting several potions and making a line out of them on the ground and dbl clicking one of them and seeing if they create a chain reaction, if it does, it may still work.
As far as thieves go, I used to get some pretty good stuff off of escort npcs but that was at least a decade ago if not longer. I'm betting the stuff they carry now sucks compared to all the artifacts ingame now. Thieves do need something new but if this was Armstrong's way of doing it, she's coming across as extremely lazy and uninvolved with the players on both accounts.
